There are two options from Blum for a full melamine drawer, there is a softclose option that is really good and then there is the standard runners that have been used for the last 20years that I would stay away from. The blum softclose option for melamine drawers is a great way of getting into softclose with out the added expense of Blum Antaro or Intivo Hey CEK, the runners were Blum runners with melamine internal draws, and so a 18mm poly as the front. Cheaper by $135. Another kitchen maker, is using all hafele runners. They said that hafele takes more weight. Is that true? Do you have any opinion on hafele? There is no difference in quality between Blum and Hafele. Blum are more widely used in Australia. Hi Again CEK, with the runners called GRASS, are they the same standard as The Blum brand? One of the kitchen company said that GRASS is cheaper than Blum, so that's why their quote came in higher and blum will not fail compared to hafele which does. Bit confusing. Hope you can help me Re: Blum products 8May 20, 2016 8:18 am Building4my3tots Hi Again CEK, with the runners called GRASS, are they the same standard as The Blum brand? Hope you can help me I haven't used the Grass or Hafele runners myself. I have used Blum for 20years and have never had any warranty complaints. Blum products work and work well! Yes Grass runners are cheaper and I have heard some good reports about them but I can speak for there longevity. If it were me I would be using Blum hardware.
