Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Pycon in Port Macquarie 5Apr 29, 2016 3:49 pm aloenyx Love your roof colour, is that walnut? Oh wow, what happened with your block? I was debating between two (Same size, same street, about 10 houses apart) but one was in an earlier stage which was expecting to title 6 months earlier than the second block. I took the second block as I needed time to save.. and funnily enough, the 1st block titled the month mine was meant to.. and mine took another 10 months!! Oh well Haha, I would love to see your wife's selections then. Very kind of you to let her make the choices! I'm building on my own, so I got to make all the decisions. White and browns sound nice. Completely forgot about all this. Yep, I think the roof is walnut, and the bricks are woodchip, though from what I understand they have discontinued the brick. Which is strange as I love them. Surprises me how many place go with white brick AND a white roof, doesn't sit right in my head hahha. We had all but signed up for a block with our current builder, but after meeting the business owner on site, the following morning we found out that they had already sold it but not updated the database. So they sold us a nice big corner block that they were going to build villas on. I will try to organise some photo's, but we have caramel patterned tiles, and off white walls. The same coloured floor tiles in the bathrooms, with white floor to ceiling tiles and a grey/brown feature tile in showers/behind the freestanding bath. Since the last update we have had electrical and plumbing roughin, the walls and ceilings are in, and I think cornices would have been started today. They wanted our tile and paint selections by Monday, which I imagine means that will start in the next couple weeks. Pool should start in the next couple of weeks, so that we can use the fill to start the landscaping, which is a whole other kettle of fish. Where we live at the moment is about an extra 20 minute drive PAST where we are building, and that extra drive is getting VERY old VERY fast, and now stopping by every day doesn't help BECAUSE I CANT SEE ANYTHING. Will sneak in on Sunday and update photos.
