Re: Rubbish on vacant land 14Apr 28, 2016 8:10 pm We had someone dump stuff on our block several months ago. It wasnt building materials though, it was old mattresses, high chairs and bags upon bags full of garbage. I'd recommend hiring fencing if your build is not starting for some time. Also be aware if there is damage to the fences by diggers, machinery from your neighbours builds, you will need to pay for it to be replaced. Re: Rubbish on vacant land 17May 08, 2016 9:07 pm Beetaloo I built in a remote isolated area so I installed a security camera to keep track of deliveries and uninvited visitors. My main concern as an owner builder was theft as there was no one on site for weeks/months at a time. I also made it known when arranging for deliveries that there was a security camera on site as I suspect that many thefts are "inside jobs". I noticed that some suppliers are now also photographing their truck being unloaded to prove that they actually delivered the materials to site. How did you get a security camera running from a vacant block? Re: Rubbish on vacant land 19May 08, 2016 9:43 pm Beetaloo Quote: How did you get a security camera running from a vacant block?
