We are meeting with our site supervisor at the end of this week to discuss the building schedule going forward. I had a minor panic about our kitchen window - when viewing it in person it seems too high on the wall. Anyway, when looking at our plans it's not very much higher than our current home's kitchen window and I suppose I need to take into consideration that the flooring and cabinets aren't yet installed and that too will make a big difference. Either way, I did contact our SS and spoke to our consultant who said that if we lower the window it will not line up with the highlight window and stacker doors, which may look odd and secondly, if we wanted to order a new window that would require another lintel to be installed and would add about 4weeks to the job?! Having looked at our plans, it should all work out OK - although I will be seriously upset if the window still seems strangely high on the wall once the build is complete. What is the measurement between your bench top and the your kitchen window sill? Ours measures 1286mm from benchtop to sill. I'd be interested to hear from others. TIA! It should have a pic of the kitchen looking at the sink/window. Then you could always do a Mock up of the dimensions and see if it works Re: Building Our New Home - Baldivis, WA 55Apr 27, 2016 12:04 am Hey Tam, it's looking good so far. I can't really give any insight to a kitchen window. Ours backs onto the laundry. I'm sure it'll be fine Our Easystart Build in Annie's Landing https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81061&p=1478674#p1478674 Re: Building Our New Home - Baldivis, WA 58Aug 08, 2016 9:04 pm ^^ wondering how your build is going now? Re: Building Our New Home - Baldivis, WA 59Aug 10, 2016 12:44 pm It's been a LONG time since between posts - oops!! Our house is at lock up and looking really good I will post some pics shortly. In the mean time I'm busily getting quotes for fitted wardrobes, painting, landscaping etc! What a business.... cannot wait until it's all done and we can enjoy our new home. At the moment, we have been given a possible handover date of first week of October Building with New Generation Homes in Baldivis, WA 'Building Our New Home - Baldivis': viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82258&p=1513857#p1513857 Re: Building Our New Home - Baldivis, WA 60Aug 10, 2016 1:31 pm Finally some updated progress pictures... All is tracking fairly smoothly. We had a leaking outdoor tap but Summit was good about getting that fixed. The drains beneath the gutter pops at Alfresco were installed incorrectly but again Summit were very quick with getting that amended. Showers have been waterproofed and tiling is next. Cannot wait to see everything come together when tiles are laid!
