Just my thoughts... Yeah thanks for that. Have just told my partner and he thinks that's a good idea.. As first time builders and second home owners, it's good to hear others ideas and opinions. If so do you mind telling me what they are charging? Hi, yes we are, we enquired around and there wasn't much difference in prices, HG are charging us $2400 for the stone cladding feature pier That seems reasonable, HG wanted nearly $10000 for some stone work probably twice as big as yours from us. Have you considered making your lounge and dining windows full height, since you're on a nice big block to look out on. Oh wow!!. No we hadn't considered it before but it definitely makes sense. Thanks for the idea loving this forum. Any advice would be great! Trying to get organized and make choices, quite difficult when you are a very indecisive person Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82755 Re: First time builders, Home Group WA 18Apr 12, 2016 5:26 pm Don't be obliged to sign your pre-start on the day. Ask for the costings for all the upgrades, then you can walk away and have a think of what you want/what goes well together etc. We got costings for everything (came to $61k) then worked our way down to $23k.
