Not much joy around so I thought I'd share my positive story for today. Our file has had to be returned as plans are not right and another amendment to the tender is needed and we are running out of time to avoid being penalised. Hubby and I have been stressed about this as we have not been responsible for running the time down, but today my sales rep has advised that we have a month's extension to ease the pressure. Still shouldn't be taking this long but at least they've acknowledged this. Feels like a little win for us. ? Our pre CC just said that we won't be charged anything because it's their fault. Marina - what is the fall from your house to the road ? Ours is 1 metre and hubby reckons we will need a retaining wall. As we don't get very many Marina looks good! SVE you might need one we had to fill less than a meter but have retaining walls and will need one in the front where we have the drop edge beam. Our driveway will slant about 11 degrees but flatten at the top. We thought our land was flat too! https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 10296Apr 07, 2016 9:51 am MGardz - I was surprised once M done the surveying :/ Hubby done a drive by this morning and found the frame going up. An inspector will come out (along with Masterton Rep) and all items will be agreed or disagreed on. Masterton will then have set timeframe to fix agreed items, or face penalty from Fair Trading. But be warned, Don't allow any tradies to deal with you directly regarding delays or appointment times, they have to deal directly with Fair Trading or Fair Trading washes their hands of it as you've made a "private arrangement" we got stung by Kitchen guy who rang and said replacement kitchen panels were delayed due to Xmas, I then had to spend months chasing him myself. Masterton have to respond to Fair Trading, whereas they're happy to ignore their customers. Hi Fingerscrossed, Make sure they put your extension in writing or you just might find they forget it was ever offered. Cheers Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level & then beat you with experience - Dilbert View Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=19733 Contract signed 14Sept Slab 30Sept Bricks laid 1Dec Lock up 26Feb Keys 10Jun Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 10299Apr 07, 2016 5:52 pm Hey All, I visited the display homes not far from me, where they have a Harmony Elite (the home we are building) on display. Love walking through (daydreaming) the finished product! Are these the million dollar kitchen bins that have mentioned on here? I love ours...... keeps the rubbish bins hidden away, and the lids keep any smells inside the bin. At our previous home, we had the ones from Bunnings..... no where near as good as the M ones.
