Love the stairs Cheers we are very happy with how it is all shaping up. Not long now we hope . Re: Switch Homes. Are you kidding! 310Apr 19, 2016 8:51 pm So today hubby rings to say he's at the house and wants me to come over and have a look at some damage caused by the rain last night. Last Tuesday the retaining started to get fixed, as it was never done correctly, as it was not strong enough so the retaining guys removed all the sand dug the holes for the steel footings and left it like that. So there is a 2 meter deep hole and as we know it poured last and the down pipe isn't connected to the rain just poured out of it like a funnel causing all the soil to be washed away from under the corner of the slab exposing all the pipes. Is this really happening ahhhhhhh! on the other hand our wardrobes are installed flyscreens installed. The stackers have been installed wrong according to Jason they should have a 10mm overhang ours have 40/50 mm overhang which means there is no support under the frame. NOT HAPPY. http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p516/petad1/IMG_0898_zpshahwpvcm.jpg laundry linen press http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p516/petad1/IMG_0899_zpstc6n13qr.jpg Re: Switch Homes. Hey good to hear from you I keep looking for updates from you as I enjoyed watching your build We really liked Felxi as soon as we went there thanks for the recommendation.(and the stools) Everything is moving along we just need to get the stacker door and wall problem solved otherwise almost everything is done it's just maintenance and clean now although there is quite a bit of that. Please keep us posted on your home. Re: Switch Homes. 317May 02, 2016 7:21 pm It's been 20 months since signing our PPA and 11 months since slab down and 3 months since lock up.
Well not a lot happening on this building site We had a meeting with the construction manager and SS three weeks ago to try to sort out some issues being the back wall is not correct the stacker doors have an overhang from the face brick of 40/50 mm's Jason doors have said they should be 20mm maximum overhang, the doors somehow bow upwards in the middle of the stackers so when the cornice is on it looks bowed. It also shows that the stackers have been put in crooked. The brick work over the laundry door inside is not square it leans backwards so they have to pack the cornice so it sits square. The bricklayers on our bottom floor were nothing short of terrible, our SS told us that he is not using them anymore unfortunately that does not help us. In that 3 weeks not one thing has been addressed we were told that we would have keys well within 6 weeks, that leaves 3 to go I doubt whether that is going to happen. It is extremely frustrating that we see our home sitting there with no one giving her any love. There is so many things need fixing , our splashback still has not been installed, i'm fairly certain that was forgotten as the electricians did ask me about 5 weeks ago when am I going to have the backsplash installed WHAT!!! we were told your installing it after handover. I needed to get rid of some frustration and would I recommend Switch homes NOT ON YOUR LIFE!! Re: Switch Homes. 318May 02, 2016 10:54 pm Oh Petad.... I'm so sorry. I thought the closer to handover the smoother it got (obviously not!) really hope they pull their finger out for you but I feel your pain/frustration/hair tearing out etc Re: Switch Homes. 319May 03, 2016 12:26 am Jeez, that doesn't sound like much fun. I hope everything comes good for you in the end. Fingers crossed. Any electricians here please help. 1) Will the Fan need separate switch to ON/OFF/Speed eventhough it comes with Remote 2) how about… 0 1816 3 1607 I would never build with Fowler homes.
