Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building at Willowdale 2565Apr 03, 2016 10:56 pm Hi All, I am building in Konara St. As my land is diagonally falling towards road I need to construct masonry retaining wall in 'U' shape( starting from in front of my facade taking right turn and running half way of my house through between mine and my neighbour's boundary). I have seen similar kind of retaining walls in Troop st. Can some please share the landscapers details who had built such retaining wall and have good experience with them. Another question regarding one part of the retaining wall which is between me and my neighbour. Is that part of wall needs to be completely in my lot area or does that needs to be in between me and my neighbour. Because my builder while designing the landscaping plan has mentioned that that wall needs to be 200mm away from the neighbour boundary. But in Willowdale(troop st) I have seen wall is built in between and fence is sitting on top of retaining wall. We went for a walk today and passed the massive excavation in Jamboree. It's enormous! Feel so sorry for the people nearby who are living with this. What is happening there? Deposit paid 3/9/14. Tender signed 3/10/14. Contract signed 22/10/14 Construction commenced September 2015 PCI 7/3/16 Re: Building at Willowdale 2573Apr 28, 2016 12:29 pm hi All I see this thread has been going on for last 3 years, thats great... The house/land prices are sky high and I have been looking for affordable house with in my budget. I have been leaving in parramatta area for last 14 years and started exploring south west suburbs. I found Willowdale estate is exciting and near to Leppington station when compared to oran park, gregory hills. I see some of you guys moved in to estate, can you pls share your experience ? I have a kid who is now in KG so I am more concerned about her schooling in this area. I managed to secure a 300sq block for 325K ( i know thats huge when compared to 2014 but as of now thats what we get for 300k+ ), the registration is far away mid next year. I am a first home buyer and have no idea about building a house. How much does it costs to build a 3 bed room, 2 bath rooms, single garage in 300 sqm ( 10 x 30 ) block with fencing & landscaping ? Is it possible for 2 storey in this block , if so how much does this costs ? I am not looking for too many extras..just with what a normal builder offers. I have been there on weekend and see 400 families already moved in, does any one of you catch a train to city ? is it safer to travel late evening & nights on trains to leppington ? Appreciate if you could share your experience of living at Willowdale Thanks Re: Building at Willowdale 2575May 02, 2016 2:30 pm mm1534 hi All I see this thread has been going on for last 3 years, thats great...
