Most of the decks and house foundations we did were concrete footings and brick piers although these days a lot are small concrete pad and a stirrup or gal post like a Unipier http://www.unipier.com.au/ or a duragal post http://www.google.com.au/url?q=http://w ... kMPpJkgRaA Stewie Thanks for the products. Not that I'm going to scrimp out but these options seem a bit overkill for a DIY application. Re: Deck Footing Anchors 4Mar 31, 2016 9:17 pm Its a timber deck. Doesn't matter if it's built by a rank amateur or a seasoned pro. It should be still be built right. I just think that they are a cheap option. Not better , just cheap. Stewie yep sounds good make the footing bigger to to allow for the pipe in the middle 3 7354 PM me your email. I have a build excavation calculator you can use based on your plans to double check what your builder is telling you. Cheers Simeon 1 10305 I've dug some footings to embed a post anchor into. My holes are around 450mm deep which I'll put a 200mm stirrup into. The bottom of these holes seem firm enough. … 0 3380 |
