Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Garage internal door placement help 3Mar 21, 2016 5:01 pm What is the overall size of your garage? Just thinking about how much room you will have around your cars? I would be going into the corner or offset like the other side if you want storage all the way across. Going around the car and entering the house right about where the side mirror is on your car will be annoying, especially with bags and kids. From the inside, I like it further along the wall, which gives a nice wall for artwork/storage/coat rack or whatever rather than having a door right in the middle of a wall. Re: Garage internal door placement help 4Mar 21, 2016 5:22 pm I agree with the others, it would be better in the corner. I wanted you to agree with me not with my wife. Ok, how about this as a compromise, what if I move the door to be 700mm out from the left wall as per the external door on the bottom of the garage. That way I can still fit storage in along the rear wall and the front of the car won't compromise the exit of the garage (this is how our current garage is setup). Thoughts?
