Building Heathcote 35 Vogue Facade Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13470Mar 22, 2016 7:43 pm Amanda986 Hi everyone, Has anyone else had a change of site supervisor during the build? We are almost finished bricks but just received an email last night saying there will be a change of supervisor. Has anyone got Shaun as their site supervisor? Cheers! Yep we had a change of supervisor, both were average to say the least Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13471Mar 24, 2016 12:11 am Hi Phil..just a quick query in regards to the baumatic appliances...how has your experience been with these appliances..we are currently in double minds as to whether to upgrade to the Baumatic package or the SMEG appliances package.. Cheers, Virender Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13472Mar 24, 2016 12:23 am Hi All..another query in regards to down lights,,we had our electrical appointment today..we have been quoted $115 for a 10w LED downlight...in case we decide to install the downlights later, the electrical wiring provisions including the batten holder is about $ 75....so a $40 to buy and install a downlight doesn't sound very cost effective if we decide to install the downlights later..or am I missing something ...cheers, Virender Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13473Mar 24, 2016 7:38 am virender21 Hi All..another query in regards to down lights,,we had our electrical appointment today..we have been quoted $115 for a 10w LED downlight...in case we decide to install the downlights later, the electrical wiring provisions including the batten holder is about $ 75....so a $40 to buy and install a downlight doesn't sound very cost effective if we decide to install the downlights later..or am I missing something ...cheers, Virender Hi Virender21 same boat in regards to down lights. Install battens only if you getting lights like pendants for above kitchen or dining area otherwise down lights will run from main ceiling light. Get down lights installed later using quick connects I think they are called you could really do it yourself but still better to get electrician to do it. Both were ok - the change didn't impact me in any way. I considered doing it after handover but then I'd have a bunch of ugly batten holders to remove/plaster up. I'd rather have it all done properly up front, cost rolled into the mortgage, and be able to forget about it, but that's just me. Hi Swiftsport, Eden Brae is providing internal wiring/ point provisions with a batten holder, so I guess I will have to make provisions ( recut the hole, install the plug etc) later if I decide to install downlight using the provision made. All within $40 per downlight if it needs to be cost competitive, as compared to the cost provided by Eden Brae. I just don't think it is worth it. What do you think. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13479Mar 24, 2016 4:51 pm I am also installing clipsal quick connects costs around $28 dollars a piece all you need do later is make a hole in ceiling and pluggin your down lights.
