Hi everyone
I'm starting this thread for anyone interested in our journey.
We purchased a block of land in a new estate in Sydney's fastest growing suburb in 2013, we started checking out builders and in October 2014 chose a builder. We worked on our plans got them perfect and then sat back and waited for the land to register.
Our land registered in Jan 2014, time to get this builder moving................... Finally get the contracts in Early October 2014, they were all wrong and after dealing with this companies stuff ups for 12 months we walked out of the contract appointment and got a full refund of all money spent
We then engaged with M to do oh build and chose the Nolan 50 as our new home. Small structural changes where added and that was a fifth bedroom with ensuite and enlarged the study, converted it to a theatre room and increased the width of island to 1400mm.
M's prelim and contract stage where fairly quick and compared to the previous builder was a huge tick for us.
The only negative is that I wish they listened to me when I said and asked for an articulation in the wall for the side of the house as per developers requirements. They told me it was not needed and sent my file to the developer for it to be rejected in early December. M didn't get the file back until the day before Xmas eve which meant it sat on the developers desk till the third week of January. Got it back and we are now at council waiting for the approvals.
Only feed back from council so far is that it will take longer to approve because of the pitch in the roof. M has it at 20degrees and council want it at 22.5 degrees.
