Re: Owner Build in Southern Flinders Ranges- Veranda 176May 02, 2016 9:45 pm After an absence of nearly 6 months I returned to my Country retreat this weekend to start work on the veranda. Not much to show for a weekend's work. The hardest part so far was digging the holes for the posts through rock. This was all jack hammer work. I struggled just to pick up the jack hammer. I look forward to the day someone invents a plastic & polystyrene jack hammer. I have only got 25% of the frame work up so far. I could do with another pair of hands or 2 or 3. Re: Owner Build in Southern Flinders Ranges- Veranda 180May 03, 2016 4:15 pm That is one of my fire hose reels. The box is the carton that the reel came in. The brick is to stop it blowing away. The carton is there to protect the hose from damage from direct sunlight. I painted the carton so that is would last a bit longer before it rots away. Congratulations! Nice to put that to bed before christmas, now you can relax 3 7187 We are in NSW and require 2 positive covenants to be placed on the property didnt really underdtand this but apparently it will take a few months, and have just been… 2 7484 0 5686 |
