Quote: Blisters, as the name suggests, are formed when bubbles of entrapped air get stuck underneath an already sealed surface and produce bumps of varying sizes. These defects are typically identified when the concrete slab is being laid and simply requires some alteration to the actual concrete mix in order to prevent more blisters from appearing. Blisters are more of an annoyance than they are a structural problem and shouldn’t cause any long-term issues for homeowners. In fact, you’ll probably never know if your concrete slab even has blisters. I have pointed it out to the builder so I hope if something can be done it will be. I will head to the block again tomorrow and see how it is looking. Hopefully no new blisters. They seemed to have a lot of trouble with getting it back onto their truck and sounded quite irate so I gave them some space Went back today and couldn't spot the blisters as clearly as before. I am not sure if this is just due to the time of day and position of the sun making them harder to spot, or if the builder did something. I did find some small bumps but not the larger ones I had noticed before. There was some scar-like markings in the area. It makes me wonder if maybe they burst and deflated. I ran my hand and foot over the area and the bumpiness was minimal, so hopefully all will be okay. As an update, there is a now a pole with a cable wrapped around it where the meterbox will go and a drain-like pipe with a cap in the front yard. I had been told that drains, underground run in and temporary power pole were going to be installed during the week, so I guess that was those. This coming week there should be site clean, slab check, and delivery of bricks, sand and frames. I had been hoping the bricking would start this week, but it feels unlikely. I will check in on the block again on Wednesday.
