Thanks Mary Re: Modernist Inspired House Build 55Feb 26, 2016 8:30 pm Modernist71 Yes, Modernist homes have a timeless design and wont date. Our home has 900mm eaves which work well in summer as well as lots of glass including double glazing. Coupled with an uncluttered interior with simple modern furniture it is beautiful.... Yeah most of our place has 900mm eaves - which is really a no-brainer in Queensland. Except for when you drive around the new housing estates and see houses with hardly any or zero eaves....you think WTF??? Almost every room in our house has full height glass to some extent. Our master bedroom has full height glass on 3 sides - it's a beautiful room, being up high we get amazing cool bay breezes coming through which is great on those warm night. Like others have said though I am having trouble seeing your images, only a few of them are showing up properly... would be great to see them Building Services Engineer Renovating our 1960's modernist home in Brisbane https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=82091 Re: Modernist Inspired House Build 56Feb 26, 2016 9:41 pm Can you see the 2 inside pics above??? Nice design Mary, we too have a mix of contrasting materials like your design....it adds to the warmth and feel of the place.
