Re: Family Home - Bedfordale - Final fitout 763Feb 08, 2016 10:57 pm it is coming together really well thanks bradster. Hows your place going? Pool is booked to get dropped in next week. Im so nervous about this particular task so I will be happy once completed. On that note does anyone have any temporary pool fencing that they dont need anymore? The issue with the bench is that two of the adjoining slabs are actually a different thickness and it stood out like the proverbial. The top join is level and very well done, the issue has been the side on view looking at the stone and the underneath. Its so much better mow and one of those "if i didnt know it in the first place i probably wouldn't notice" but unfortunately i know its there and so look closely. See what DW says. Re: Family Home - Bedfordale - Final fitout 764Feb 09, 2016 9:28 am Great news about the pool, I couldn't wait until that bit was over too. Couldn't notice anything with the bench, but I completely know what you mean about you knowing it is there. We have a similar problem at the moment where our bench meets standards but the finish is not what we expected. Re: Family Home - Bedfordale - Pool Thursday 765Feb 16, 2016 12:28 am So as I said I had been stressing over this pool. Well not a good news story today with the relisation that the wrong size and rating of piping has been installed through my retaining wall to run the pool water through. Disappointing in the respect that it was done so it looked all tidy with minimal pipes on the wall, however relatively easily fixed by coring through upper blocks and running pipes down exterior of wall. Not visually what i wanted but not out of control either. More than likely we will be adding a rainwater tank in the area so it's going to have piping and pumps everywhere anyways. The dig went very well, with the pool clear of the wall and the predig rock breaking at initial earthworks stage paying off. Should drop in Thursday morning, but wind will be an issue. Given the stress that has gone into this pool over the last year its a relief to see it sitting there full of water. Pencil compaction tomorrow and then the sub paving concrete border. The border will be a drop edge travertine paver with liquid limestone and decking surrounds.
