Hi
Our brick veneer home was built 25 years ago in Adelaide. Pine timber floors on traditional joists.
Noticed awhile ago that I was getting sagging where there are heavy items eg cast iron bath.
They are on the laundry side.
We had a washing machine that would vibrate on spinning (tried much to stop it doing that). I am thinking it may have vibrated some of the joist posts a tad into the ground. Sagging shows under the cast iron bath (no sagging showing on the
other side of the bathroom), under the washer and chest freezer, and a heavy cabinet in the meals area.
The hallway adjacent to the rooms shows a sloping to the wet area. See sloping.jpg.

(Note however there is no gap under the built in cupboards). See also two other sagging examples.

There is no sign of cracking or movement in the ceiling/architraves. No movement outside.
What do you think could be happening underneath? I prefer to get a contractor (but I want to keep them honest hence my questions here) as I am not strong on DIY (my wife would vouch for that!). We do have plans to renovate the bathroom, toilet and laundry so the floors will come up as we will be replacing waterproof particle board with concrete sheets.
Thanks for your thoughts on this.
Cheers
Chris
