I found Guardian sales service really good and pricing. The other guys around Rockingham wouldn't leave their office even to say hello. Riverina said hello and explained a few things and was polite. Our last pool was Riverina and installation was fantastic and never had an issue with it, but that was many moons ago, things may have changed. Barrier reef pools sales was very good down at Mandurah but was really expensive I thought. I have done the trudge around Rockingham and Mandurah and that was my summary experience Thanks for the insight Decka One of my husband's colleagues recently got a Guardian Pool and they took absolutely forever to organise the council approvals etc - but I think that could be one of those things, with our knowledge of that, we could keep on top of them. Certainly the price might counter a bit of a wait! We spoke to the guy at Barrier Reef at O'Connor once, firstly he wouldn't let us leave as his sales pitch took FOREVER! And also the showroom was really dangerous, lots of steps and he kept propping open the safety gates - and we were trying not to let our bored (as he took forever) then two year old either fall down the steps or into a pool. Anyway agree, they were very pricey. I'm not so keen on Riverina as I used to drive past their Dixon Road showroom everyday to work, and it concerned me that it took them 6 months to get it finished. If thats how long it takes them to do their display, how long do they take with clients? So I think my default we have whittled it down to either Guardian, Freedom, or the Buccaneer-Sapphire-Aqua Technics group. Aqua Technics don't seem to have the shape we want. (Steps are generally at the end not side). Will make a shortlist. The best price by far and no issue at all with installation etc. good luck - loving my pool on days like today Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Slabbed! 133Feb 07, 2016 1:36 pm Hi W2T, yes a pool a pool! You won't regret! We spent lots of time looking at pools (probably should've spent time to prepare for pre-start ) and finally decided on Buccaneer and the pool shell went in in October last year before the site work started in November. We initially really wanted the Barrier Reef pool called Majestic but price came to close to 30k! Could not find any shape we like from Aqua Technics. Freedom's sales man was a little too playful and lacked a professional manner during our meeting. We were quite mindful with Buccaneer because there're lots lots of bad reviews about them. but the sales guy turned out to be very genuine and after 3 meetings, we signed a 8x4 Panama for approx 22k include several upgrades. Once our contract was passed on to their Compliance Office and Accounts, everyone we dealt with so far is polite nice to talk to and get things done straight away. So far so good, we just need to call them back once the house is finish to finish off the pool. About Sapphire, we met the old (actually not that old) guy there once, he gave us a quote and some good advices. Shame we couldn't find a shape to suit our liking. I remember their price is quite reasonable too. Happy pool hunting and look forward to see what you pick at the end. Big pool too Originally we were wanting to get the wee Cove wading pool with the Portofino (5.5 x 2.5) which added about $3500 to our quote which came back just over $26000. I think the base price of the Portofino was $19500. Ideally we'd like to have the pool and it's bits and pieces for $20k - the fence and decking etc can be absorbed into our landscaping costs. We still got time to save up for that part... fingers crossed. Anyhow seeing you being so smart on everything, no doubt you will find one that is just right for you. Make sure you show us some pics of it though Our Redink build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81681 Re: Custom Dale Alcock in Wellard Village - Slabbed! 136Feb 10, 2016 11:26 pm Well, a bit of detective work required by me today... Got a text from Mr W2T this arvo saying "the soak wells have gone from the verge, but they aren't in the ground" I was intrigued! He sent a picture of where the soak wells are meant to go as per our storm water layout plan, and we both thought that surely there wasn't enough space between the trench and the house to have put them in (3 x1200mm). I emailed our CLO who replied very quickly, I gave her a call and she had spoken to the construction manager and plumber who both confirmed they had gone in. Didn't make sense... Definitely no disturbance to the location they should be as per the plan! I have emailed our CLO to request she finds out where they are and why they aren't located as per the approved plan. Will keep you posted as to response! Detective W2T.
