A truckload of 1m3 and 0.5m3 B grade sand stone cost me around $700. A good Bobcat operator should cost $80-$90 per hour. You should be able to do the math. Re: what is the most cost effective retaining wall 10Jan 22, 2009 8:55 am I agree they may be cheaper in the short term, but unless you have sorted out the bits in the ground they will only last as long as they take to rot. wooden type walls can cost more in the long term. The last home I lived in didn't have a pool and when i went to sell it the agents were not happy, even telling me to put one in to sell the place.
