Lot of good stuff here. We are planning to build soon once the engineering is sorted. Bins there are slide outs or the old fashioned one which is attached to the door and the lid opens when you open the door. We have had the latter for 10 years and it is much easier to use than other peeps sliding ones. Open door drop rubbish, close door. Other type open door, reach down, slide out bin, drop rubbish, slide bin in, close door, need two hands. I have got a bin drawer instead. So basically pull the handle and it slides out with 2 large bins - one for general one for recycling. no lids to worry about and its enclosed in its own drawer cupboard so keeps smells in. Not cheap though at $680. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Things you forget - summary page 32 932Feb 03, 2016 3:57 am We forgot to extend our driveway concrete to behind the garage wall ( where we tend to put our bins and gas cylinders). luckily our supervisor was nice enough to give us details of the concrete person to discuss this extra work with him directly, otherwise we had to lodge a VO with builder which would have been much more costly adding all the admin fee etc. Re: Things you forget - summary page 32 933Mar 08, 2016 10:45 am Having a rear roller door on the garage if possible, i really regret not investigating this now. Means I could have bought a trailer load of soil\stones\green waste through the garage instead of trying to cart it down a 1.5m path. Those with a large yard should really investigate the option. Re: Things you forget - summary page 32 937Apr 13, 2016 1:18 pm Wow what a great resource! I already have a lite a page long to check with Re: Things you forget - summary page 32 939Jul 05, 2016 2:10 pm Depth of built in robes. Seeing ours now I think they are a bit shallow compared to what we had in the last house.
