If it was me and you were space constrained I would flip the house from how it is in the picture. So that you could get good passive heating in winter from the northern winter sun. We were in the same situation ourselves when we were buying land and it was an estate requirement to have living areas on the north side of the house for solar gain in winter. The climate affects how much emphasis there should be on heating vs cooling. Then the direction of prevailing breezes can be relevant if you want to optimise for cross-ventilation. Also, what is the direction of North on the block of land with the updated plan? North-facing living space is good for winter, however North-West facing windows are a big heat liability in summer, so there could be a trade-off there, and it depends on just what that angle to North is. I'm also noticing that 4m setback to the front. One thing you may want to check is if there'll be room to park a car on the driveway in front of the garage door, because it can be handy to be able to do that.
