You tile choices are great. One thing i regret is my tile choices, wish i got something better but I didn't do an research before our colour apt for tiles and just rushed it. We are doing our flooring after handover but have chosen very similar laminate and carpet colors also. Hope your tender apt goes well! We actually changed our facade to Eclipse and changed the windows to be similar to the Milton. Mind you I changed my mind 100000 times. Our stain isn't rich chocolate either, it's a new one but I completely forget the name of it... Very similar to the chocolate one though. Did you go Cat 1 tiles? It's so hard to pick the right ones and have a good idea of how it will look completed. It's very nice. Looks like the brown porter Davis use. Our floor tiles are cat 2 and walls cat 1 basic white rectangle. I thought it would look clean and fresh but unless they are layed really straight they look * Re: Our MainVue 530 9Jan 06, 2016 6:56 pm jessicana10 Aghhh we noticed on a display home today the brown stain looked like one we hadn't seen at cosham so that must be the new colour. It's not acceptable to do a half arsed job when someone is paying so much money. I hope they sort it out for u!! When I get my quote back I'll post up my colours on here. I think I'll have to stop looking at everyone else's threads and thinking "hmmmm, maybe I should have chosen that...." We choose the little penny round feature tiles too..so cute!! I'm a bit like Jess and wish I'd done some tile research before colours. I wanted to look at the Haynes showroom for the full selection but I was p....d off that they didn't respond to 3 phone calls and 2 emails when I tried to make an appointment, so I just went with what was at Cosham. After reading Jess's blog, I must admit I'm nervous about my cat 1 floor and wall tiles in the bathrooms. Anyway too late now, we have contract signing today Re: Our MainVue 530 13Jan 07, 2016 7:59 pm Saint Girl Hi Lish, Just found your thread. Love your colours. What areas did you do the penny round features? And how did your contract signing go today? Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... 1#p1481141 Re: Our MainVue 530 14Jan 07, 2016 8:07 pm Did the penny rounds in a band vertically in the shower as a feature and to full height on the mirrored wall in the powder room. Contract signing went well. We went into it with a few unknowns about final site costs but were very relieved to see the cost was exactly as it was in the previous tender. We are ready, just waiting for them to finalize a couple of things. We should be on site around the end of the month. Do u remember the extra cost to do the tiles in there? I have to wait until the 10th of feb for our tender.. I just want to know what we are up for. Did u have many tender appointments? Sounds like your contracts went very smoothly! Where are you building? Such an exciting time for you Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... 1#p1481141 Re: Our MainVue 530 16Jan 07, 2016 8:38 pm Ours is a long story already. I won't go into it now but if you want to catch up on some of challenges we've faced already, I've got a blog on this forum that talks a bit about it. So anyway, we began the process with MainVue with the view to building the Amalfi 530 but our planning application was rejected, so we had to start all over again. We are now building the Ivory 436 with quite a few modifications and we are really happy with it . Because of the troubles we had, we had 2 tender appointments, one for each house but in actual fact, I changed my mind so many times during the last year with colours, fixtures and all sorts of things, that the actual tender document number was Tender 21 by the time we signed today (awkward...everytime you change something it becomes a new tender!!) Hopefully things fun a little smoother for you. I think the powder in the Ivory is bigger than the Amalfi but as a guide, the penny rounds were $360 Re: Our MainVue 530 17Jan 07, 2016 8:42 pm Forgot to answer one of your questions.... We are doing a knockdown, rebuild in Parkdale Re: Our MainVue 530 18Jan 08, 2016 10:58 am Saint Girl Ours is a long story already. Any suggestions for me on things I may have missed? I have been planning our house with MainVue since April 2015 so I think I'm on the ball but you never know! Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... 1#p1481141 Re: Our MainVue 530 19Jan 09, 2016 11:15 pm It sounds like you have things under control, we added a few things that we hadn't thought of at the start, like gas point, plus hot and cold water points to the alfresco, so we could set it up properly after handover. We also ended up moving the dishwasher and microwave space into the pantry, which was not in our early tenders. Some changes were actually suggested by the drafting department while they were doing our drawings. One example was they suggested changing the sink in the butlers to an undemount (single size) so it matched the kitchen one. The butlers pantry in the Ivory is bigger than the Amalfi, so there is more room to do this. Other changes were things that were just a change of heart such as cabinet handles, taps & towel rails. One thing that was out of our control was that our original floorboard choice was discontinued and another was that we had chosen the open shelves above the fridge space but when the drawings were done we realized the fridge we wanted to buy wouldn't fit with the shelf there, so we deleted it. You sound organized with your choices. I just had too much time to thing while we were waiting for permits......... The only real shock was the bushfire requirements that are now costing us $4k plus the 6 star energy rating that is about $800 as well as the extension of of master and porch by 1600mm so the garage is 1m setback from the dwelling... So we came very close to budget if it wasn't for those things. Contracts will be done in about 3-4 weeks as our land isn't due to title until May. Also visited our estate today... Roads shouldn't be too far off but a lot of progress has taken place especially in the last month Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Follow my build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... 1#p1481141 I second taking your plans elsewhere.
