Floor sneak peak :) 2248Dec 16, 2015 1:48 pm And you were worried about the black living sofa. It all just looks fab. That theatre looks so comfy Re: Our Ben Trager Build - KEYS!! Floor sneak peak :) 2249Dec 16, 2015 1:59 pm WOW!! I love the couches, especially the theatre room one. Where is it from? Re: Our Ben Trager Build - KEYS!! Floor sneak peak :) 2250Dec 16, 2015 2:00 pm Thanks DD Can't wait to move the other couch out of that room and all the cardboard boxes (should see the garage, cardboard city!) so I can style it all properly! The deck is getting done this weekend in time for Christmas, nothing like cramming everything in at the last minute! We don't even have bamboo upstairs or on our stairs yet but at least the bedrooms have carpet so our guests can still stay over Christmas! Paint isn't done either and it'll likely be cardboard on those windows too haha. It doesn't feel like we got a lot done but we've only had the keys 2 weeks so I'm pretty proud of what we achieved in the short time frame! When we moved in we had a full A4 page of defects still to be rectified, now we have only about 7 items left of the list which is good, but now that we are back at work it will just have to be done in the new year. Looking forward to the day we can just sit down and relax for a little while! Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - KEYS!! Floor sneak peak :) 2252Dec 16, 2015 2:06 pm Arch, I've said it before. You have done so much in that 2 weeks. It looks like a home now. The cardboard and stuff will soon disappear. You have a fantastic first home Re: Our Ben Trager Build - KEYS!! Floor sneak peak :) 2253Dec 16, 2015 2:07 pm Everything looks great! If only BT's schedulers / trades were as efficient as you guys! Floor sneak peak :) 2254Dec 16, 2015 2:48 pm You Should be so proud of what you have achieved! I get excited when I finally complete something.. I had 2 days off work in total after getting my keys, 1 day for handover and then move day.. I work in construction and the project I'm on was at peak at that time so my boss said he'd prefer if I didn't take the 2 weeks I had asked for when I started.. So things are taking a little longer for me, but thankfully dad was around to help me smash out the painting and I had companies come in and do the floors & blinds, so it's really just outside stuff I need to do and re-organize cupboards and unpack the last of the boxes. Can't wait for Christmas day at my house! I'm not sure about other tips but the Balcatta tip lets you take in cardboard for free, my dad took a load of broken down boxes in for me and I took another load a week or so later, my 3rd bedroom was half filled with boxes before that! Re: Our Ben Trager Build - KEYS!! Floor sneak peak :) 2255Dec 16, 2015 4:29 pm Your home is coming along so well, you should feel very proud of what you have done in 2 weeks! The pendants are really lovely, love all your choices. Must feel so nice having carpet now! Looking forward to seeing the deck, so good to squeeze it in before xmas! Re: Our Ben Trager Build - KEYS!! Yeah, most tips have a recycling place to take all that stuff for free, car batteries etc. Looking great Archetto, lounges look awesome. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - KEYS!! Just wanted to ask how low you hung your pendants over the kitchen island bench? And how high your ceilings are in the kitchen?
