And such a great price! Mine is similar but in pastel blue from Harvey Norman and definitely was not that cheap but it's beautiful I love that you can rest your head on the cushiony headboard. Do you have guests over often? Hubby wants a sofa bed for our spare room but I think it prefer a proper bed like this. Our bed cost a lot more too. This is our bed.. I'm currently deciding whether to put pendant lamps in or just get normal lamps, I don't want it to clash with the curtains though. I love your bedsides! Are they hard to keep clean? Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 411Dec 09, 2015 3:47 pm They do get fingerprints on them and sometimes dusty but I just go over them with a duster. The fingerprints are totally worth it though! I want hanging pendents either side of my bed but didn't get a provision for them and hubby doesn't want an electrician tearing out walls apart to put the conduits in I loveeee hanging pendents though! Your bedroom is stunning. I haven't even decorated mine or got bedsides. I wanted mirror ones, they are stunning. The OH doesn't like them though BOO. Now I'm trying to compromise with half mirror, half normal lol. I wouldn't know what hanging pendant lights to go.. Maybe silver/crystal looking ones? I really like those bedsides!! My partner doesn't like most things I pick but it's just because he doesn't see the same vision I do lol Our dream home viewtopic.php?t=75306 Building our first home - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75306 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 414Dec 09, 2015 7:27 pm I really love the glass and concrete and glass and cork ones from beacon lighting. They look like science beakers haha. What does it mean if it's on an external wall? Do they not have to drill into the plaster? First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 415Dec 09, 2015 9:02 pm External walls are easier because they just go from the electrical in the roof and in the cavity between the double brick whereas with an internal wall they would have to chaise the wall and drill down the plaster. I like the glass and concrete ones too! I'm thinking of putting two concrete ones above my dining table at different heights but not sure if it will go with my kitchen pendant lights. I say go for it if you like the look. Oh that's good to know about the external wall, so do they just drill a small hole for a new switch? First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 417Dec 10, 2015 11:30 am Yep they just drill the hole, get the electrical from the roof and place it down the cavity to the hole. That can only be done on double brick walls. Whereas your internal walls are single brick which need to be chaised and much more effort and holes plus cutting through plaster. Managed to fine a licensed electrician to hang 2 pendents with a switch on the external wall for $160, rounds pretty reasonable hey! First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Cara and Matt's First Build - Baldivis 419Dec 11, 2015 9:05 am Yeah that's pretty good! If it's in your bedroom you might want to have two switches, one either side of the bedside? Looks incredible with the colors and downlights shining on it. shame about the paint finish. I think we need to get our painters back too, they missed heaps of areas at our house too :/ I'm pretty happy with the colours we picked. We got a black leather lounge for the room because with kids I think leather is easier but I totally hate the lounge. I wish I had of picked a bigger grey lounge so I'm thinking of selling it. Don't mind the red, it's not staying. It was from our rental, I will be having something more neutral.
