So it looks like they started early, seems to be a rarity in the building industry.

Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: JG King Modified Quest 25Nov 19, 2015 10:03 am Wowee its moving along! Im excited to see your ironstone bricks with your colorbond choices as we think we have finally decided to use ironstone but not sure on roof gutters etc. Cant wait to hear about more progress Re: JG King Modified Quest 26Nov 24, 2015 6:56 pm We hit a snag today. The builder called this morning and advised that some measurements didn't work out and told me I needed to get a surveyor to come and check the boundaries. I called a surveyor and they were going to go do it this arvo or in the morning. I'm not really sure what this means, if my difficult neighbour has taken some of my land am I within rights to ask her to move it at her expense? What if it's the other side of the property which is a laneway to a drainage reserve? Is the council or developer responsible for rectifying it or do I have to pay for it myself? I'm not entirely sure why the builder can't just keep going, I'll find out tomorrow I guess. I'm pretty disappointed at the minute. Re: JG King Modified Quest 27Nov 24, 2015 9:53 pm That sucks, hope they figure it out quickly and its only a miss measure. If its not Im not sure on what to do but I'd be talking to a lawyer or a like. Builder has advised the they can continue building and that the neighbor has agreed to fix the location of the fence. This needs to be done entirely at the neighbors expense before building is complete otherwise a certificate of occupancy will not be issued. It was good to see something happening Re: JG King Modified Quest 32Dec 07, 2015 2:46 pm That's great news, you should have a slab before Christmas! Hopefully the neighbor isn't too off side with having to move/pay for the fence. Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: JG King Modified Quest 34Dec 07, 2015 6:27 pm Yes at hopegully the builder s the bad guy to the neighbour not you. Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: JG King Modified Quest 35Dec 10, 2015 5:38 pm A fair bit more progress, but a couple of new problems as well unfortunately. The developer has stuffed up the water and gas connections for the block. The builder is saying I have to pay for an under road bore. And this doesn't sound cheap. The developer won't return my phone calls so I'm not really sure what happens now, surely they should be responsible for this. The under slab plumbing has been done and while I don't know much about plumbing it appears there is a stand pipe missing where the waste should be in my alfresco for my outdoor kitchen. The site supervisor must be busy and hasn't returned my calls either. I can't imagine it being easy to install a waste after the slab has been poured. Other than that the slab was scheduled to be poured tomorrow. They haven't finished with the waffle pods so maybe this will happen on Saturday now. It seems like anything that can possibly upset things will. Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: JG King Modified Quest 39Dec 14, 2015 8:15 pm Congrats on slab that's awesome. And good news with the developers hopefully it is not cost to you. Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
