Considering installing some downlights after handover but what do we need to consider here? We have a raked roof in kitchen/living and only a 1.5 degree pitch in the upstairs lounge. In that case should we use our 22 light fittings through this area and any after handover in bedrooms etc? Little worried about things that might go wrong cutting into plaster etc afterwards? Is there a chance the finish might not be as neat? I guess what we would do is install a batten fixture in each room? Trying to work out if it's worth saving the $. It's going to be about $100 per light with the builder (we've already bought the fittings!) and we have about 25 over our contract..
