If they are not finished ours by keys, I'm not handing over the money until I have it in writing what needs to be fixed and a time period it will be done. If not, no keys for us but no money for them either. Hubby will go ballistic if it's not finished. Supervisor has promised it will be ready and he will be asking to fly home early so look out if it's not. Hope you get somewhere with them soon and the nightmare is finally behind you and you can start enjoying life in your home. Still waiting on some pics from you Re: Ben Trager Secret Harbour - PCI done & Key Date 255Nov 28, 2015 5:28 pm In my opinion, they have taken on too much work and don't have the trades to deliver the builds in a decent timeframe. Should've just concentrated on quality over quantity. It's a shame that BTH have left many clients with no other choice but to accept builds that are unfinished with the promise of fixing things after. I don't want trades coming in and out after I've moved in. Especially when they've already had 53 weeks and counting to finish it. I've had my problems but nothing compared to others. I've been pretty happy with the majority of workmanship not all of it but most. I probably will find things too once we move in. It's pretty hard to pick everything up when you're just staring at white everywhere. You start going "snow blind" Thankfully I have had a building inspector at each stage. I didn't bother him with this PCI as I knew there was no point because there was still to much to do. I will be contacting him to come to my 2nd one in a fortnight though. He will probably pick things up I've missed. Plus it gives me peace of mind. To give the supervisor his due, he had everything I had on my list too and had dates for most things. Will just have to wait and see now. Re: Ben Trager Secret Harbour - PCI done & Key Date 256Nov 28, 2015 5:47 pm I wouldn't recommend them to anyone but that is just my opinion and I told them that at handover, you have to fill out a questionnaire at handover, i was very honest! My bank transferred the final payment over during the week of handover even though i said i wanted a bank cheque!! So i was like I've paid, you guys can work around me now.. gave them 2 weeks to come in and fix stuff while my polished concrete floors were done, but all they did was paint the man hole! I'll do a thread with photos once my story with BTH is done, then it's a full story Re: Ben Trager Secret Harbour - PCI done & Key Date 257Nov 28, 2015 7:00 pm Althom By the sounds of this thread and others Ben Trager are to be avoided? So far my workmanship and timeframes have been great it's the communication side of things that have let me down so far. Though my roof has only just gone on so I could be speaking too soon Re: Ben Trager Secret Harbour - PCI done & Key Date 258Nov 28, 2015 9:05 pm Ahhh your glass looks amazing! I wish I had thought to do the same!! Maiden I feel like we are about to have the same problems as you Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Ben Trager Secret Harbour - PCI done & Key Date 259Dec 06, 2015 11:17 am Well only 5 days left to finish my house Ben Trager. Still no Intelligent Homes, no shower screens, no mirrors, whole of internal upper floor and stairs still not painted, laundry and store door missing, ceilings needed repainted after the electricians drilled holes everywhere, external painting not finished and that's not including all the little "fixes". They haven't even finished off my portico. It's still brick and wood frame. Sigh! Will this ever be over. Re: Ben Trager Secret Harbour - PCI done & Key Date 260Dec 06, 2015 3:10 pm My fingers are firmly crossed for you DD it sounds a lot of work but it's not impossible either, let's hope they are organised!!
