Welcome. It Looks great! Congrats on land registration. How long were you waiting from when you deposited on the land? Did you make many changes to your plans? We almost built the Noosa with coral but then decided to go to Mac Jones instead our build should be done by end of Jan we hope. Have you seen central coast display home? Look forward to seeing your build progress. Thanks! We love the design. . And fell in love with the display home on the central coast, we have had a few visits already and expect we will have more once we landscape as our block is a similar size. What design did you end up choosing? We put the original deposit down at the end of June with expected registration at the end of September. . So not too long but im impatient lol Awesome. Did you change much about the design? Doesn't look like you have done too much. Bigger alfresco I noticed. The display home has a couple of issues we noticed. Some bad paint work on some walls and in the powder room. But the house was nice apart from that with some good colours. We are building the Bordeaux Urban. Very open plan similar to the Noosa. We didn't change too much about it tho. Changed to a two way bathroom and added a window into the ensuite above mirror some other small things I can't remember atm. I can imagine that's frustrating to wait. We bought land that was registered so the wait was the admin from the build. Council was quick for us tho. The developer took over 2 weeks to do their bit. Have you decided on a colour scheme/upgrades you would like to do? Have you decided on flooring? Did you do the elegance upgrade? We would have got that I think if we went with Coral. Re: Our Forever home - Coral Homes Noosa 26 at West Wallsend 14Nov 20, 2015 8:51 pm Ryalls_first_build Deva We just heard yesterday registration is expected 2nd Dec! Woohoo! ☺ Awesome news!!! Looks like we will be on similar timelines... Who are you building with? Well...therein ****** the problem haha. Still finalising our builder. *soon* we hope Re: Our Forever home - Coral Homes Noosa 26 at West Wallsend 15Nov 23, 2015 9:07 am wadedewilde Ryalls_first_build wadedewilde Hey Ryalls. Welcome. Have you decided on a colour scheme/upgrades you would like to do? Have you decided on flooring? Did you do the elegance upgrade? We would have got that I think if we went with Coral. We didn't really change much to the design, the bigger alfresco, added a couple of sliding doors instead of windows, higher ceilings / and a skillion veranda to the front - both estate requirements. We have our Beaumont tiles appointment on 4th Dec so went there for a look on Friday and picked out some floor tiles we loved.. We are stoked cos they were the same we liked when we began the process a few months ago.. Which is a miracle cos I change my mind too quickly! They are grey 450 x 450 and will do the whole house except for the bedrooms and lounge. We are getting the elegance package and are doing our best to stay within the standard range as much as we can with little splurges here and there - but who knows how successful we will be Id say we will go with osprey for the kitchen bench with sublime teak for the overhead cupboards and white for the under cupboards and a smokey mirror for the splashback, As for the bathroom probably osprey benches with sublime teak cupboards. Im just trying to decide on a cool white for the walls - which is way harder then I had imagined!! Currently liking lexicon quarter or brume quarter. Bordeaux Urban layout looks fantastic! Similar to ours in way but without the activities.. We tried to talk to Mac Jones but was told the sales person was away and he would call back and he never did Have you got a build thread I could have a look at? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Our Forever home - Coral Homes Noosa 26 at West Wallsend 16Nov 23, 2015 9:09 am cat_dunc Another westy! I'm in Teralba so not far away. I'll be keenly following your build Woohoo for another Westy!! Considering there is so much building going on out there I thought there would be more people on the forum. We just drove past out estate on Friday and they have moved the gates so we can access the land whenever we like A tiny step but when you have been looking at a fence for months it feels massive lol How is your build progressing? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Our Forever home - Coral Homes Noosa 26 at West Wallsend 17Nov 23, 2015 9:21 am Deva Ryalls_first_build Deva We just heard yesterday registration is expected 2nd Dec! Not fun! Fingers crossed it happens for you shortly. I will admit the whole building thing is so much slower then I had hoped.. and I haven't even broken ground yet! _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Our Forever home - Coral Homes Noosa 26 at West Wallsend 18Nov 23, 2015 9:22 am Your plan looks great! We just finished building the Noosa 29 in Brisbane but cut down the plan to 26 squares, so the same size as yours. We also went with sublime teak/white/osprey combo for our colours. It will be great to see it with a cool white on the walls - we went with natural whhite but lexicon quarter for the woodwork and doors. Anyway, I will be following your build, best of luck! Re: Our Forever home - Coral Homes Noosa 26 at West Wallsend 19Nov 23, 2015 10:20 am mim_feher Loving your plan how did you find all the design requirements of apple tree grove? Our build hasn't started yet hoping early next year. Land settles next week and will sign contracts soon after. Want to get contracts signed before they break for Christmas and the FHOG changes. Umm the design requirements have been abit annoying to be honest.. I can understand why they want it like as I think it will age well but still. We are happy we had to have higher ceilings but as for the skillion veranda ewww! Its near impossible to make that thing look good lol Sounds like we will be on similar timelines Who are you building with? Are you building in Newcastle too? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Our Forever home - Coral Homes Noosa 26 at West Wallsend 20Nov 23, 2015 10:27 am manderinne Your plan looks great! Your thread / colours have been a big inspiration to me If I hadn't showed my husband a pic of your kitchen there is no way he would have agreed to the sublime teak up top lol Did that add to the cost much? If you don't mind me asking? I'm having grey tiles so I don't know if i'm making the right choice with the cool white walls... I don't want it to throw too much blue.. I've been googling the colour components of white - Wow now i'm definitely confused lol _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi, I've got a brand new (2nd hand) Bosch Hydropower 16H tankless hot water heater. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14738 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
