Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Dealing with council fee 25Jul 09, 2007 7:22 am ahuang (2)There's also a smaller display home areas next to Parklea Markets, corner of OLD Windsor Rd & Sunnyholt Rd, right across where Clarendon display homes are located. There's about 7-10 builder display homes there and some of the houses are quite nice. We haven't been there for more than 6 months, did a search on Internet but couldn't find their details. Hopefully they are still there. It's called Homequest. http://www.homequest.com.au And yes, they are still there. Be aware however that the builders there are rather prestigious and naturally enough, expensive. Re: Dealing with council fee 26Jul 09, 2007 10:23 am Thanks for the information Mark.
I was looking for you for something else. Have a look at my blog, I just added some notes about the latest update on North West Rail Link. Hope that doesn't impact your area... Cheers Allan http://building-our-first-house.blogspot.com/ Current stage: old house demolished, contract signed, fence ready, waiting for excavation to start... Ok, something more serious, any rumor/official/unofficial news about the link between Epping & Parramatta? Is it really dead? Quote: Ok, something more serious, any rumor/official/unofficial news about the link between Epping & Parramatta? Is it really dead? As far as I am aware, it's not going to happen in the foreseeable future. It just wasn't feasible. Unless the the big wigs upstairs know something I don't. The Northwest rail link is priority, as is the Southwest rail link to Leppington. Re: Dealing with council fee 30Jul 09, 2007 11:16 am Cookiemonster Staff price is free. Might be a bit hard to swing that for you. Sorry. Free?? That would save a bit of money. I can only get my work to pay for the annual ticket and deduct from my pay on monthly basis. Basically, taking advantage of yearly ticket discount but I don't need to pay in advance. Then again, it's not really worth because I will be on holiday for a month or so every year! Quote: Ok, something more serious, any rumor/official/unofficial news about the link between Epping & Parramatta? Is it really dead? Just wasn't feasible. [/quote] It's not feasible if you look at the short term period. Basically, if the current state gov spends money to build it then they won't get the return now as they are just re-routeing the passengers. Politicians don't care about the long term benifits anymore The good old planners... did they really look at the short term benefit when they built the underground city circle? I recon that's the best decision they ever made in NSW! Hmm... I'm getting a bit too much here - devank Re: Dealing with council fee 31Jul 09, 2007 11:19 am Maybe we need a seperate thread to discuss Sydney's transport woes. Re: 33Jul 05, 2009 10:38 pm Hi Cookiemonster, did you hear anything about the Northwest raillink? I'm buying a land near that area, should be a great news if they continue the plan. Thanks.
