I'd love to know how they treat their staff especially if they were building with them. It beggar's belief. Sending good thoughts Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1805Nov 11, 2015 4:28 pm Ugh update when you've had a wine or 10? First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1806Nov 11, 2015 4:42 pm archetto my heart goes out to you I can't stop thinking how you must feel today too - whatever happened can't be good or you'd have told us. Hang in there don't let the bstrds get you down. x OHB I wish I could have that wine but it is 6:40 in the morning and I have to go to work soon Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1807Nov 11, 2015 6:42 pm Thank you all for being so caring and for all the worried PMs you're all so kind. I've only just got home, it's been a long, long day. I'll update in a little bit Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1809Nov 11, 2015 7:53 pm So today was the biggest waste of time, my partner is self employed so that's a day without wages, for me it was a day off work I now have to make up for tomorrow and half a tank of fuel. When we turned up and the balcony balustrade wasn't in, I knew today was going to be pointless. But I had no idea just how pointless....I thought for sure we would of had trades onsite mon/tues even maybe today? But no, nothing, all that happened at our house was the garage storm water grate was put in, and even that has stuffed up some pavers. We walk in and again see a different face, our supervisor is not contactable, of course, I wouldn't show my face either if I were him. So we had the area manager, who was very apologetic, if he wasn't so nice I wouldn't of held back, but I felt bad taking out my anger on him, had it of been our supervisor it would of been a different story. He LI*D to my face in our meeting 5 weeks ago, he told me we would have keys by the end of November, how dare he! I hope if he does turn up for work on Monday he is sacked. Not only that but Ben Trager told me himself, on the phone, unless there was a "showstopper" issue we would definitely have the keys on the 25th. Is this a joke to them? Do they find it fun to toy with people's lives? I'm still in utter disbelief that a building company can operate this way. We have 45 items on our list, we filled 2 whole pages, the worrying bit is we didn't even list defects just items that aren't finished or haven't even started, we had no power connected so couldn't even test what had been done. I asked Ben to phone me urgently, I heard nothing. Hopefully someone will get back to us by the end of the week with a plan and update, at the moment I don't really know where we stand, I have no idea when keys will be I just know we won't have everything done by Christmas if we get keys before then. I had to ring and cancel our deliveries today, and couldn't even give them an alternative date. Garage door down...manually as it doesn't even have a power point yet let alone power A visitor while waiting for our carpet measure, I booked this for 12 thinking we would of just finished PCI...we finished the chat with the builder at 10! 12 turned into 2pm somehow so I sat at the house for 4 hours doing nothing but trying to get my head around such a joke of a day. I wish they had of rung us and cancelled, I thought we could of at least gone through and done the stickers on the walls but the build is so far behind there wasn't even any point in that with so many trades still to come in who could just add to the damage. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1810Nov 11, 2015 8:29 pm Dumb struck!!!!!! Shaking my head in disbelief. I don't know what to say that is the biggest load of crap, I'm glad they told us they wouldn't build on our block. I really feel for you. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1811Nov 11, 2015 8:36 pm Really sorry Archetto, I would have lost my s@#T or more likely started crying. I remember when you were planning your house, it is really unforgivable to treat people like this. Look after yourself and each other whilst you get through it x Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1812Nov 11, 2015 8:44 pm I thought I would cry so you know it's bad when you can't even cry, you're just numb. Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1814Nov 11, 2015 8:58 pm Wow, that is bad, I just don't understand why they aren't upfront in the first place, what do they think would of happened today. I feel for you Archetto Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1815Nov 11, 2015 9:10 pm I am so sorry to hear archetto.. I feel really sad reading your post. I do really feel for you. I think the worst thing was still keeping your meeting today with so many items outstanding. They should have shown more respect towards you both and it should have been rescheduled. You have already given them too many chances to get their act together.. not many people would be as patient and understanding as what you have been. If only they showed more appreciation towards you both. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1816Nov 11, 2015 9:40 pm I don't know what to say But I can say, it's looking gorgeous from the outside. Just a pity they could follow that up with the inside. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1817Nov 11, 2015 10:38 pm Archetto I'm so sorry to hear that your builder seems to have a complete disregard of and lack of respect for their paying customers. I'm so sorry this has happened when you've been so understanding and patient and willing to work with them to resolve their mistakes. *hugs* Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1818Nov 11, 2015 10:51 pm Thank you all without homeone id be a mess. Hope some retail therapy softens the blow a little. "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 23894 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17602 |
