At least it's not shortening the house out or anything. I'd just start hassling them daily to come out and finish what they need. Re: Building Monaco Lux Q1 - Handover 2 Sep !!! 684Nov 05, 2015 7:51 pm PEARZ confused_fhb_2015 Had a bigger this morning..with rains all night our Rangehood seems to be filled with water Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The plumber guy came in a few weeks ago to duct it through the roof and I'm assuming it's something to do with it ! Just hope there is no damage to the Rangehood itself Will call Henley's Maintenance for the first time today ! Our Build Thread - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76750 Ah that's no good but at least the issue is found now rather than later.... Being in over a year now and just found there is water leaking somewhere along the window splashback or the rangehood... and a lot of it /quote] Pears That's no good ! What's happening with it now ? Is someone coming from Henley to look at it ? I haven't heard back from the plumber yet..and if no one calls me by tomorrow this pushes forward to Monday no good not being able to use the Rangehood for that long....UNHAPPY !! Nothing shortened yet and hope it ain't happening Didn't get a chance to get in the roof to inspect for any further damages today but looking forward to the weekend to do it ! He wouldn't agree on his mistake and kept blaming the storm and product for the leakage ! Went up to the roof right after he left and the wet insulations spoke for themselves..My own lil analysis was that the flashing wasn't correctly installed and he had to put some more silicon to seal the gap..it was funny how they were making excuses to make sure they get paid for this extra work from Henley . They think of us customers as fools..huhhhhhhhh.. A word of caution..the plumber called me at 10:10 in the morning and said he will send someone to have a look in a couple of hours..we weren't home but he said we don't need to be..came home and saw the recording to notice they had been on the roof from 9:30 onwards already..it's so hard to trust these people.. Will call Henley today and make sure I get an undertaking to avoid any warranty issues with the Rangehood in the future ! The guy sounds like a moron. Hopefully the silicon is enough to hold it all properly now though and no more leakage. Re: Building Monaco Lux Q1 - Handover 2 Sep !!! 688Nov 09, 2015 10:35 am Thanks Mate ! I'm hoping the same..it is so hard dealing with these tradies and they're so reluctant to accept their mistakes It was surprising he was trying to convince me that everything other than his installation had gone wrong with our house Our Build Thread - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76750 Build thread of our Monaco Lux Q1 - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76750 Update: Handover - 2 Sep Re: Building Monaco Lux Q1 - Handover 2 Sep !!! 689Nov 16, 2015 7:48 am Finally had s chance to mow down the wild jungle in our backyard Before Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ After Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Planning on how to landscape it now ! The more I think the more scary it gets.. Here is a short summary of high level tasks that need to be completed: 1) Screens on 2 sides (leaning against the fences to bring symmetry) 2) Retaining boxes on 2 sides (may be 3) 3) Green patch - still weighing options between real grass Vs synthetic 4) Decking the Alfresco with an extended seating area This is obviously not getting into details about levelling the ground, adding water sprinklers etc etc..
