Re: Knockdown and rebuild - Sahara Q2 with Henley 107Oct 23, 2015 12:39 pm snyde Build's looking good, looks like they're making quick progress on it. The completion date seems quite long.. we were told average of 4.5 months. Unless that's just average for single story? I think the date they have given us is just a default based on how many days they are entitled in the contract. From the feedback I have got, 6-8 months seems to be about the average. This will hopefully get us in by Easter next year. It does feel like forever. Our contract is on the 3rd of Dec s so not sure if we will be lucky enough to have them submit our file to council before xmas. How long did it take for you to get the council approval? Melbourne weather is really bad today hope you have a better weather over there.. Re: Knockdown and rebuild - Sahara Q2 with Henley 115Nov 02, 2015 2:43 pm Nice house, look forward to hearing how it goes. Did you find Metricon a lot better value in relation to your site costs? We signed our contracts in mid July and Henley didn't start until the end of September. Most of that time was spent sorting out PCVs as we continued to have issues with the stormwater. I think it took about 4 weeks to get all the permits they needed once final drawings were done. We thankfully have avoided the storms and our on our way home today. Am dying to see what they have done to our house while we have been away (it's only been 2 working days!!), hope the storms haven't held them up too much! Metricon didn't bulge much really.. we are stuck with them because we have spent so much time on their floor plan and the sales consultant was superb. It is all coming down to the floor plan really.. Glad you resolve all your issues. Look forward to see your house progressing..
