Keys soon, that's exciting. Our building journey viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77582 Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 523Oct 21, 2015 9:57 pm jelbell55 Thanks Perth_Euro, we didn't know about the pavers, I am very interested to see them... they sound like a great idea. Can't wait to see yours. Do you know if they come from freo stone? The pavers are from a company called Bonita stone. They are out in Bullsbrook, were extremely helpful. Not much of a display of the drop edge so not worth the drive to see. It takes 3 to 4 months to get it in. (In the coral stone look) drop edges are on display at Barrier reef pools. Just below the steps to the raised pool out the back. It's a cut edge, rather than a mitred join, which I think is pretty good. http://www.bonitastone.com.au Here's a pic at the Barrier Reef display centre. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d156/perthmps/Mobile%20Uploads/B7D42895-2281-47F5-ABC5-110A19E2E389_zpsjxrerikp.jpg http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d156/perthmps/Mobile%20Uploads/F6901F67-E70C-4A7A-898E-1AD2D42A9FE6_zps02gi9doo.jpg Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 525Oct 22, 2015 11:37 am Thanks Perth_Euro for the info, I will defiantly get into Barrier reef pools to take a look. I really like the look of them! Have never seen them before, can imagine them looking really good around a pool. Thank you, you have been very helpful Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 526Oct 22, 2015 11:51 am Thanks everyone for the lovely comments Koll, it will be very hard knowing we can have the keys next week! I will have to be very patient until he gets home. Probably a good thing, I still can't make my mind up about paint colours! That gives me a bit extra time to decide Jdvee, I was surprised to see the air con on the bracket, we didn't request to have one but it must have been included in our quote. The SS is having the light moved to another wall so everything has worked out ok anyway Hoping the roller door goes on before the weekend! I will defiantly take some more snaps soon Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 527Oct 22, 2015 11:57 am Yeah I don't know how you're waiting either! What is on your short list for the paint? Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 528Oct 22, 2015 3:06 pm archetto Yeah I don't know how you're waiting either! What is on your short list for the paint? Throughout I am deciding between Wattyl Confetti Shower and Solver Talc, but I am leaning more towards Talc: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ There will be a few feature walls so I am deciding between Wattyl Alta Sierra and Solver Vitesse: Talc with Vitesse (vitesse is more of a beige) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Talc with Alta sierra (Alta sierra is still beige but seems to have some grey in it too) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Another picture of Alta Sierra: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We want to keep all the main areas bright so we don't want too much contrast with the feature walls. Theatre I have no idea yet, we want to go for a darker colour in here on all walls (possibly alta sierra but in a deeper strength?) Bathrooms, laundry & WC's: finding this to be very challenging! Bed 2, 3, 4 I think Talc might be too bright so I am trying to decide on something a bit warmer. The more I look at colours the more confused I am! Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 529Oct 23, 2015 12:21 am I'm hopeless with colours, they both look nice to me. Good luck! Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 530Oct 23, 2015 3:06 am Nice choice with the colours....seems that any colour with a tinge of grey in it is the in thing nowdays...darker colours for theatre walls is a good idea Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 531Oct 26, 2015 12:41 am I love your kitchen so much!! and love the colour selections.. Im not really much help with paints, i cant even decide on ours yet! lol Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73578 our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73578 Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 532Oct 26, 2015 12:01 pm I saw a display on the weekend which I loved the colour of, it is a darker grey then I had in mind but waiting to find out the colour from the builder, I love the colours you are deciding between, they will suit your home so well! Maybe toss a coin Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 533Oct 26, 2015 2:27 pm Hi jelbell - kitchen looks fantastic and quite familiar As I am sure you know Talc was the main paint colour in the Stoneleigh display if I remember correctly and it was lovely. I am also quite partial to Vitesse as it our main external render. The two colours you have a painted are very similar so either one will go well and look great! Looking forward to it all coming together over the next few weeks Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 535Oct 26, 2015 11:53 pm Oh that glass splash back and kitchen looks amazing! Love the front door too. With your wall colours be sure to check any feature walls will have enough contrast. We only wanted slight contrasts but one of the feature walls has lots of light shining on it and I looks the same colour as the other walls. We went solver slightly and solver dewkist. Both had a bit of grey in them. Oh you must be itching for keys now, are you doing the dreaded act of placing things in boxes? Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 536Oct 27, 2015 12:20 pm Thank you everyone, finding the paint bit hard! And have to let the painter know soon too.. I will be off again this week to grab some more samples Archetto, that is the best way to find a colour you like in a display home and go with it! I think I am probably at that stage where I will be tossing a coin! Thanks Tbrown! Yes I did love the colour in the display and decided to go with it since we are doing the same floors. The bathrooms and laundry I am finding very hard though- they used quite a neutral white in the Elwood display (we have same tiles and similar laminate) but I have always liked a slightly warmer colour in these areas... I really like the colour you did in your bathrooms. Thanks Ashgrove, I am glad you reminded me of the contrast part. I have been wondering if there is enough contrast between the two. I will have a look at your colours when I go into Solver too, thanks for the great tip. I am lucky I don't have to start packing boxes just yet, we probably won't be in for a while (Jan/Feb next year). Depends how well we are able to coordinate the tradies after the xmas break! Going to find it very hard to wait until everything is finished before we can move.. Hope you are enjoying your beautiful home. Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: PCI Friday 16th 537Oct 27, 2015 2:22 pm Oh man.. I am not looking forward to trying to choose a paint colour lol That's really good advice about picking a colour from a display home jelbell, I will need to remember that! I really like both colours you have there.. although I am partial to a bit of a grey undertone so I think that alta sierra is gorgeous. It's sooo tricky! Re: Stoneleigh Dale Alcock Baldivis: 2nd Inspection 538Oct 30, 2015 4:18 pm Thanks Kellie, I took my big cardboard colours to the house today and I think I am even more confused... I would have to say that I am finding the paint harder than it was to select the tiles and laminates! Today we had our second inspection and all went well. Majority of items (about 3/4) were fixed from our building inspectors report which was great. There are still some items to be fixed, nothing major and nothing that our SS has refused to be fixed. Everything raised has been agreed to be rectified, and a few new things were picked up today (just cosmetic) and he has been very good at agreeing to get everything done. He has also welcomed us to email through any other items we pick up in the mean time so we can't really thank him enough for being such an amazing SS Our final inspection will be when my partner returns home on the 19th November and we will do handover on site. Will be a good opportunity for the SS to run through some final bits and pieces while my partner is also there. They are also fitting our tv bracket on the day too to the alfresco area as they need to drill through the tiles (I wasn't confident enough deciding today by myself, I would hate to get this part wrong since this will probably be my partners favourite part of the house!) Love the doors! Is your front door frosted? We have clear glass in ours and still not 100% comfortable at being so see through at night. Considering frosting but love the light the clear glass brings in daylight. The fools gold splashback looks fab!!! It can look quite different colours depending on your angle. Glad you got most everything sorted. Good luck for the next few weeks! |
