She's worked with Ryde council and doesn't think they would agree to having it removed. Some ideas she threw in so that the tree can stay were: flip the house (losing light in our family & study) move the house back, (losing out on garden) have the house jacked up on stilts so the slab doesn't impact the roots. Of course we wouldn't know for sure until after DA (aka post paying our 5% deposit, council fees and landscape) if council would approve the tree removal and if M could make any required changes..... Would love to be able to get council approval before paying the deposit.... Any ideas/help.... Feeling at a very low point. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Build thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 68Oct 19, 2015 6:36 pm NRyde Glendale37+ Oh dear..... had an arborist come in and have a look at the hugh Oak tree in our front garden. Feeling at a very low point. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 I feel you, we have a large tree in the council strip we can't remove as it's blocking our front facade. We also have a huge magnolia tree in the back I'm trying to knock over too but the storms are not helping at all build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 69Oct 22, 2015 12:03 pm Update: M have agreed to split the 5% contract signing payment with half at contract signing and the other half upon DA approval..... viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Build thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 70Oct 22, 2015 12:12 pm NRyde Glendale37+ Update: M have agreed to split the 5% contract signing payment with half at contract signing and the other half upon DA approval..... viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78995 Why is that NR? build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 71Oct 22, 2015 12:50 pm For those who have signed contracts, or who may know. If my council don't approve the contract plans, and there are costs/redesign required what are my options in relation to getting out of the contract/paying anymore money? That tree is really causing me some lost sleep! BTW we had to switch our house plans too bc of the council tree on the nature strip on the right hand side. Plus we are constraint with the driveway too bc we have a damn power pole on the left hand side arrgh! build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 74Oct 22, 2015 3:49 pm Hi NR i hope you find a solution which works well for you. When we bought our block we didn't even consider tree types or whether there was pole right on the driveway. Orpheus i think you can get the pole moved. But obviously it adds $$$ Metricon Glendale 38 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&p=1298363#p1298363 Selections: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&start=60 Tiles - p25 Re: Metricon Glendale 37+ 75Oct 22, 2015 3:59 pm monalisa Hi NR i hope you find a solution which works well for you.
