Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Oct 10, 2015 9:47 am Hi all, Looking for opinions on external colour for a weatherboard-look Reno. We are hoping to stick with Colorbond colours as we are currently purchasing a pre-made garage and want to tie house and garage colour together. The garage will be about 6m behind the house, but to the side and can be seen from the street, so we don't want to clash. Another consideration is our existing colorbond fencing/ gate in pale eucalypt colour. We like coloorbond dune for walls/ weatherboard and we have white framed windows. Will this tie in with the pale eucalypt do you think? We like grey color but nothing with a blue tone that will clash with our fencing. Also stuck on roof color, thinking of woodland grey but worried it is too dark... What else goes with dune and doesnA't clash with pale eucalypt? And garage door, keep as dune or contrast colour? Argh, so confused! Re: Another struggling with external colour 2Oct 12, 2015 4:47 pm Got a front photo? I don't have a photo as the house will look very different in 6-9 months (fingers crossed!). I do have a sketch of the plans though. The cladding will be scyon linea (weatherboard look). The colorbond garage will be down the driveway on the left of the house (as you are looking at the house), about 6 metres behind the back of the house, but visible from the road. We need to confirm colours on the garage asap, and can only choose from the colorbond range. Our weatherboards will be Dune , the roof is Wallaby and the windows are Surfmist. I don't have any photos yet as we're only at the stage where the weatherboards are going on but hoping it will all come together. I think the Dune and Wallaby would go with Pale Eucalypt, good luck Loving our new home, Upper Hunter NSW on 2.5 acres Re: Another struggling with external colour 5Oct 13, 2015 8:43 pm Thanks so much Danette! I love the look of the Wallaby. Do you have a build thread here? I'd love to see your house when finished/ painted. Re: Another struggling with external colour 6Oct 14, 2015 8:52 am I'l look at Dune for the cladding and Jasper for the roof. Both colours work well with Pale Eucalypt, all earthy colours.
