Re: Welcome to WA 66Jan 05, 2014 12:36 pm Hi ya's We've brought a block in Matilda Estate which is yet to be developed (titles in May) and can't wait for the scrub to be bowled over and roads put in etc. Love the experience and info on here as we are first time builders choosing the Lennox with Celerbration Homes and can't wait for the construction to begin. I'm Lauren and my family (hubby, 2 boys under 5) are building on five acres in Stoneville. We're building The Argyle with RBC, which we've customised. Inlaws have built with RBC about three years ago and had a good experience, so hopefully we follow suit (so far, so good). So far we've done pre-start, the builder is just finalizing some costs to some of our 'wants'... which we will then see how much we can afford to do. Unfortunately our imagination is a lot bigger than our wallet! Hopefully we can get stuck into building our dream home soon, it's been a two year wait so far. Looking forward to seeing everyone's journey and asking lots of questions regarding rural builds( seems like a lot of extra stuff to organize!) Re: Welcome to WA 70Sep 24, 2015 8:17 pm Hi All, We are building in the SW of WA, just out of Busselton on a nice parcel of land (155 acres). We are looking at going with a local custom builder, it's all fairly new to us hoping we stumble our way through without too many disasters. Cheers Re: Welcome to WA 71Sep 24, 2015 10:51 pm HI swfarm, Welcome to the SW. We are on 3/4 of an acre in Donnybrook. I wish we were on 10 + acres. Though 155 seems a bit daunting. Do you have plans for the acres not house attached? Re: Welcome to WA 72Nov 10, 2015 7:41 pm Hi everyone! I am from Perth! Been stalking this forum for some time. Great information here and very useful. Hubby and I are in the process of settling the land and finalising a builder. Looking to build a two storey house on a 572m2 block.
