Pouring concrete for garage floor. Which option is better? 1) 20mpa with 14mm stone from boral concrete, f53 mesh, 100 thickness 2) 20mpa, f62 mesh (is there a r62? i suspect it is a typo), 80mm thickness Timeline: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76782 Re: Thickness of concrete vs. mesh size 29Sep 11, 2015 8:19 am Hi Sofia14 Do you have a large (heavy) or a small (light) vehicle? Is your driveway paved or concrete? For the heavy vehicle you want the the thicker concrete 6X6X.1m =3.6m3 they order 4m3 waste is used for the edge thickening 6x6x.08m = 2.88m3 they order 3m3 no thickening BTW it's now called SL62 mesh and its costs a couple of dollars extra p/m2 http://www.midaliasteel.com/products/mesh/ I would definitely upgrade mesh and make sure they compact the soil properly Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Thickness of concrete vs. mesh size 30Sep 11, 2015 10:27 am Light vehicle (sedan). Driveway will be paved. It is less than a meter in length, very short. Timeline: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76782 Re: Thickness of concrete vs. mesh size 31Sep 11, 2015 6:11 pm I would go the 100mm slab thoughout w/- extra thickening abutting pavers and you should make sure you get it..HTH Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Thickness of concrete vs. mesh size 32Jun 27, 2020 10:10 am 150mm 32mpa slab. Sl82 or Sl92 what would you recommend? Will have heavy machinery at times on slab. Re: Thickness of concrete vs. mesh size 33Jun 27, 2020 12:26 pm Wirepower84 150mm 32mpa slab. Sl82 or Sl92 what would you recommend? Will have heavy machinery at times on slab. Probably SL81 but your engineer should specify. I would recommend to consider Cupolex system (cupolex.com.au) as it is can withstand load bearing pressure 6x+ of a standard slab (up to 100 Nm and with elastic response at 80 Nm!). And to achieve this you would only need 60 mm 25 mpa slab on top of 260 mm Cupolex with 668 mesh + D10 bars at 560 mm centers. MATE!!! I've checked their website and it's a 90% match at least. I've just called them and sent the pic through to confirm it's the same product. Thank you heaps. 3 7132 Hello everyone Please advice me how can I install mesh security window or we cab say mesh flyscreen inside while the pvc plantation shutters are already installed?
