In with council! Monday just gone was the last day for people to object and happily no one did!! So now we just wait. I suspect we won't hear much before the end of January since people will be on leave. How long did it take you after they approved your DA?? Meanwhile, I am busy dreaming over interiors (despite that not being relevant for around another year!!) So, after the debacle that was Wincrest, we have decided to go owner builder. Terrifying but very very exciting at the same time. It actually feels so much better being in control. We met with our architect and project manager today on site and it was so wonderful to hear their thoughts. So much more personal than a project builder. And council have been wonderful. Never expected that!! We are redesigning the house and will share our plans once we have them. Lets cross fingers for a completion before Xmas (but not holding my breath!!) Re: Loretta's new house - ****UPDATE**** 37Mar 25, 2009 9:52 pm Love all the storage space, especially the his and hers WIR, and love the library. Just wondering if there is enough room to put a reading chair or couch of some sort in there, some where you can curl up with a good book. Good luck with council, hope they don't take too long. 'chelle We have a hand-over date...15/10...but I won't hold my breath! http://people-in-glass-houses.blogspot.com/ Re: Loretta's new house - ****UPDATE**** 38Mar 25, 2009 9:58 pm Loretta congratulations on your decision, it should be quite an adventure. The plans look fantastic, I am really jealouse of that library leading out to the balcony, what a great idea. Good luck with it all, I'm looking forward to seeing some pics, especially of the library.
