Here are a couple of options I'm now thinking about: I'm leaning towards the second as I feel like the Surfmist is too light for my liking. It's ok in my pictures, but in real life (and in your pictures) it's much lighter. Brick: Austral Grange Roof & Doors: Surfmist Gutters: Dune Windows: Grey Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Brick: Austral Grange Roof: Shale Grey Gutters & Doors: Dune Windows: Grey Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: First Build - Fairmont Homes SA - Lincoln Mod 16Aug 04, 2015 9:56 pm Don't force yourself into colours you don't like, so make sure you find something you're happy with. I'd be careful putting shale grey and dune together. They are quite similar, but different enough to clash. The grange brick is warm in tonings, so I'd just go with the dune roof with it. I'm thinking maybe this: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Roof, gutters, rendered posts: Dune Bricks: grange with off-white mortar(brighton lite cement + white sand) facia, garage, gable infill: Gully windows: woodland grey Here's the same thing with shale grey roof Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Roof, gutters: shale grey Bricks: grange garage, facia, rendered posts: dune windows: wallaby Otherwise, going to a surfmist roof, and the nougat bricks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ roof, gutters: surfmist bricks: nougat facia, garage, rendered posts: dune windows: wallaby Re: First Build - Fairmont Homes SA - Lincoln Mod 17Aug 04, 2015 10:12 pm I think Grange bricks look really good with jasper and surfmist Could go grange bricks, surfmist roof, jasper gutter fascia and roller door (or surfmist or timber) and timber door? Re: First Build - Fairmont Homes SA - Lincoln Mod 18Aug 04, 2015 10:13 pm Re: First Build - Fairmont Homes SA - Lincoln Mod 20Aug 04, 2015 10:26 pm And by bluesteel request, here's with surfmist and jasper: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The jasper and surfmist do go well with grange. I'm not such a fan of the heavy line of dark gutter+facia under a surfmist roof, but it does bring the jasper colour out. You could also do the jasper door like this, but tone the roof back to dune if you don't want it so light. While I have worked a bit at getting my render colours fairly accurate, bear in mind it's only my approximation too, and the real thing is different again - so you have to calibrate what you see off real examples. hi guys.
