With stacker stone we were a bit concerned it might time stamp the house. If you look at the new display homes they use outdoor tiles as a feature on pillars that stacker stone. Also consider your internal colours, if you like the warm earthy tones and plan to go with creams/Browns then your internal and external has to flow.
