We have missed you. You have made a reference to this forum quietening down recently and rest assured, it's actually quite the contrary. As I type this, there are approximately 100 active members logged in. Over 20,000 posts are published each month by an ever-growing home building and renovation community. What you may find a little different is that since you've joined 9 years ago there are so many more fresh faces to become acquainted with. Nonetheless, as you do enjoy a good "interior decorating" exchange and are such a loyal contributor I'm sure you'll enjoy connecting to the many new members that join us each day! ![]() Happy posting! P.S. Stay tuned for an exciting site makeover. Re: Shake up!!! 7Jul 23, 2015 6:26 am Hi Homeone ![]() I know the forum in total is doing well, you only need to pop into the building forum and see the activity in there. I was really just referring to the decorating forum. I'm still friends with the group I help with their homes a few years ago here, on Facebook, Homeone can build some very good friendships. Can't wait to see the new makeover!! ![]() Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Shake up!!! 8Jul 23, 2015 6:26 am ![]() Interior or exterior colours?? ![]() Whatever you want.... ![]() Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Shake up!!! 9Jul 23, 2015 6:50 am Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Shake up!!! 11Aug 06, 2015 8:30 pm Hi Michelle, Currently looking at our colour and title/carpet selections for a new build, do you mind providing some quick feedback on our tile/carpet concept, and what paint colours would complement the spaces (we're painting ourselves after handover, not through the builder) looking at modern tones of greys Floor plan for reference is in our build thread. Kitchen: Benchtop – Essastone, New Crystal Salt Cupboards: Formica, Malibu Gloss Finish Spashback: Lanka 201×403 Mattoni White Floors: National 450×450 Belga Grey (also entry corridor, meals and living) Main Bathroom: Benchtop – Formica, Pure Marble – Either Velour Finish (Matt) or AR Plus Finish (Gloss) (Or a similar offering from laminex, we cant decide yet) Cupboards: Formica, Malibu Gloss Finish Spashback/Walls: 201×403 Fashion White (closeup here: http://www.mattanderin.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/2015-08-04-10.47.13.jpg) Feature: 300×100 Bronte White Wash Floors: 200×200 Rocell 2/15M Calcite Laundry/Toilet: Benchtop – Formica, Snow Drift, Velour Finish Cupboards: Formica, Snow Drift, Gloss Finish Walls: 201×403 Lanka Gloss White Floors: 300×300 National Belga Grey Ensuite: Benchtop – Laminex, Terrasphere Natural Finish Cupboards: Formica, Snowdrift Gloss Finish Spashback/Walls: 201×403 Fashion White (closeup here: http://www.mattanderin.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/2015-08-04-10.47.13.jpg) Feature: 300×100 Bronte Ebony Floors: 200×200 Arc Gri You can see a better colour representation of the carpet in the master / theatre / WIR in this photo. Here's a better photo of the bathroom/ensuite selection - not quite right colours because the showrooms interior lighting sucked but it also shows carpet selection, left is bed 2,3,4, activity and corridor. right is master, WIR and theatre. (not quite that dark though.... the lighting sucked) ignore the formica swatches, as we were only playing around at that point... We did have a look at the brick and roof tile selections from brickmakers, didn't snap any photos but looking at the following: Roof tiles: harmony oceanic (villa profile) House bricks: brikmakers trealla Limestone 2 course face brick Driveway brick: brikmaker ezipave 60 charcoal in 90deg herringbone pattern with grey ezipave boarder. Alfresco brick: same as driveway Front of the house will be rendered, with two colours, one for main walls another for the feature accents (combination of greys?) We're not sure if we want the gutters and down pipes to contrast the roof /walls or to blend in Would really love some feedback - we haven't gotten to Prestart yet, but an opinion from someone else is much appreciated. Re: Shake up!!! 12Aug 08, 2015 9:13 am Hi MattandErin, Sorry for the late reply, my internet has been down for a week. Now that's enough to test the most people! ![]() All you internal selection look good, well done! With your externals, if you don't supply photos of them I spend too much time looking for them on the net. Sorry. Hopefully these will get the idea across! i may not be able to get a sample till late next week. roof tile: face brick: main pavers and then trying to decide between grey or natural to use as a border grey: natural: also, see here a quick photo of the selections - sorry about the lighting but it does show the difference between the ezipave brick selection: note that these are not sealed, not wet and indoors under artificial lighting. and the face brick is a single course sample, not the dual course we've been specified in the build. - the show room ran out of the dual course samples Re: Shake up!!! 16Aug 08, 2015 3:08 pm Big difference in the brick photos for the house, I'm guessing they are on the yellow side? Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Shake up!!! 17Aug 08, 2015 3:13 pm the photo of the house is from the suppliers website, looks like theyve had some fun with colour adjustment to make the sky and grass look prettier! It's a touch more yellow compared to the "nautral" ezipave sample. what would be your suggestion for the gutters and downpipes colours? i still cant decide on matching or contrasting colours with the roof tiles. also remember that the face brick will only be seen to the rear and side of the house, the front will be rendered, with two feature blades in a different shade. Go the 2 greys for the driveway. Should bring the roof line down. Downpipes I hate to see, so those should blend with whatever they are on. Gutters stick with roof colour. (can you tell the wife prefers her darks and greys!) Re: Shake up!!! 20Aug 08, 2015 3:32 pm Have fun, it can be a stressful time building.
