All our certificates have been done . Haven't received them yet but SS has all final reports Building the Bronte Executive Grande at Windella NSW Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 11585Jul 03, 2015 4:40 pm That would come in very handy for us with our build 2 hours away. We haven't been to our build for a week now so not sure if we have a slab yet or not. We are going to go and check it out next weekend. Our site supervisor said our frame is being delivered on the 13th of this month. I think Coral Homes give you your own key during the build. That would come in handy also. I will have to have a look on your blog and see how your bricks are going. Went shopping last weekend and brought a great picture for our entry. Will have to wait 6 months before I get to hang it up though. CathyLeigh
such a good idea isn't it. If you are in an area with neighbours you could ask them to update you? I am in georges fair every day if anyone needs an updater ! ahaha what house are you building CathyLeigh? I want to start collecting things for the new house but I really can't. this house will be packed up soon and then all in storage whilst we stay at mums for maybe 2 months...she hasn't the room for us all let alone a bunch of new stuff for the new house. It will have to wait until we move in.
Hi GardenRetreat1 We are building the Monte Carlo Executive with rear activities. We were tossing up for a while between the Monte Carlo and the Garden Retreat because we absolutely love both of these designs. It is such a shame you have to pack up and move before moving into your new house. Moving once is bad enough but moving twice in such a short period of time is the worst. We are living in our house we built 15 years ago and are not selling it so we have no pressure with the timeframe of this build. That definitely takes away any stress in that regard. I will probably try to not buy too much for the new house until we get the keys also but I just had to have the picture I saw last weekend for our entry. We are thinking of doing the driveway like this and want to know if it will look like yours. Ours would be 4m at crossover and 5m at house. Thanks Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 11594Jul 04, 2015 5:01 pm Hi Wadedewilde, Crossover is about 4-4.5 Metre and the house is 5.6 Metre from memory. Or you didnt? Did you inform mcdonald jones about putting a kickboard/plate? Pictures would also help Thank you in advance! Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 11596Jul 04, 2015 10:14 pm We had MJH do our flooring so cant help there, but just be mindful the Smeg 90cm freestanding oven does not come with a kickplate automatically. We are having a plinth made for ours due to a miscommunication about a kickplate that didn't eventuate so ask the question at colours to be sure. I had a quick look at the australian smeg website and you can purchase a kick plate. But was just curious to how tiles would be done after handover once the cooker is in. I will definitely raise the question in colours. If anyone else has had this experience feel free to comment Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 11598Jul 04, 2015 11:25 pm Hey dunno if our experience helps at all but anyway... We are tiling after handover and also have the smeg apliances. .. we have the built in oven though However, i know for the dishwasher there is enough space for the tiles to go underneath it. Our appliances wont be installled until we ask them to be which wil be after our tiles are in Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 11599Jul 04, 2015 11:55 pm Nat and Dan Hey dunno if our experience helps at all but anyway... Our appliances wont be installled until we ask them to be which wil be after our tiles are in Oh so you can ask them to install it after your tiles have gone in, even though you're outsourcing your tiles? I thought they would install the dishwasher and cooker right before handover and that it would be up to the owners to deal with it. Thanks Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 11600Jul 05, 2015 8:59 am Nope our ss said they dont like to put anythin in of value until right before u actually move into the hoise so we will handover with no appliances and have them installed when we are ready Hi AKG, We had a base tender of $592 for 31 squares from MC Donald Jones.
