We are using Santorini Random for the facade and nougat for the rest of house. We have red bricks at our current house and the look is not my favorite. Santorini Random has some big blocks and some 1/2 and 1/4 size ones, hopefully will be able to recreate the look enough. That will look lovely, the torino was a bit tan. Were you not able to squeeze in a double garage? The councils various rules are sometimes out of touch with how people live but then again a street full of garages isn't a great neighbourhood feel! Re: Facade colour 14Jul 03, 2015 8:59 am Yah we though the torino looks too orange for our liking too. My block is only 8.84m width so council would not approve for a double garage as there will not be a habitable room facing the front. 2015 5 June:Land settled 21 Oct: Planning consent granted 2016 28 Jan: Development approval issued 25 Feb: Foundation prep begins Re: Facade colour 15Jul 03, 2015 11:43 am We're going with a light brick, and I found in the visualisation work I did that the mortar had a big influence on how much of that stone-like look you get. With our brick (littlehampton tuscany), when I brought the mortar back to a colour match of the brick, it comes up with much more of the stone feel. I think the approach to use is to go with an off-white cement, light yellow sand, and then use a rolled finish rather than raked. Our block is 20m wide, our counci the garage can't be more than a 1/3 of the width. Whereabouts are you building? Re: Facade colour 18Jul 03, 2015 4:15 pm 20m wide is awesome. We can't afford a 20m wide land in the area we wish to get in. We are building in Klemzig.
