Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jun 22, 2015 8:56 pm Hi, We've recently had our concrete floors polished in our new home and they really look pretty bad. The floor has exposed aggregate in it and some of the aggregate is not polished. The rest of the floor has good polish but in every square meter of floor there are probably 10-20 pieces of aggregate that have no polish it's like they haven't taken it up. The guys who did the polishing said they think it is some kind of sandstone that just wont polish. I've never seen a polished concrete floor with aggregate look like this, it looks pocked almost and looks like the floor is really dirty with all these marks on it. Has anyone come across this before and had any luck remedying it? It's really hard to get a picture of it because of the shine of the rest of the floor (and my poor quality camera!) so there are no pictures attached Cheers Re: Aggregate in polished concrete wont polish 3Jun 24, 2015 8:53 pm EmmaW84 Any pics would be helpful Would love to post a pic but am new and can't find how to attach a pic Last year I had a gas leak at my house. 3 days later, I have about 1 sqm of my exposed aggregate paving broken up. I am not sure how to go about getting it repaired… 0 10410 After some ideas on making our patio kid friendly . Currently we have exposed aggregate. The patio faces west and is always in sun even though it has a shade directly… 0 3600 |
