I am getting a roof replaced on a house completely replaced ( due to Brisbane hailstorm putting dents in roof ) Some inaccessible parts of the ceiling will be exposed , so I thought I would take the opportunity to get some ceiling bats. Having laid ceiling bats before , I know there can be lots of dirt in ceiling .... The area is 24 m2 I asked the company if they could vacuum the ceiling before laying bats. They responded “Vacuum top side of ceiling to remove dirt and debris before laying of ceiling insulation $720 “ Any ideas why it would be so expensive. I know need to avoid breathing in fine ceiling dust , so need masks ./ filters / respirator etc .... and do need to empty vac from time to time and be careful not to put foot thru ceiling .. ( There will be no access problem . since all iron is coming off ) but $720 is like almost $30 m2 top just do the vacuuming ...? ) Seems expensive to me or is it NOT? THanks Thanks Ardo, they are sort of semi concealed. I think it is only a few millimetres. I see if they can adjust the hinges. 4 3859 How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 6046 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11961 |
