As you can see we have replaced the roof, rendered the chimney, added base boards and started building a verandah. Colours will be: * Roof - Shale grey * Fascia & gutters - Woodland grey * Weatherboards - 1/2 strength windspray (as seen on gable) * Windows - Lexicon My Owner/Builder weatherboard house thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=77475 Re: Weatherboard Reno / Build 7Jun 04, 2015 10:08 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Some shots of the back. Still deciding on a splashback (this has been the hardest decision to date!) Feel free to throw some suggestions - I am thinking white tiles of some variety (subway? herringbone? mosaic? diamond?) Let's start with my pride and joy, the oven! Ilve freestanding 900mm in black Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Island bench - Ceaserstone 'Alpine Mist'. Was originally having waterfall ends but I ended up changing my mind, thought it was a bit too 'modern' for this house Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Cupboards - Polytech 'Parkes' in Classic White Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Floor - Tasmanian Oak Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen handles - (not locked in yet, but I'm thinking some type of silver knob similar to this) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Dishwasher will be semi-integrated. Here are some of the more 'exciting' light choices that I picked up at Beacon last week. * Master bed pendants Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ * Front exterior pendants for either side of door (I'm nervous about how these will look, has anyone done front pendants that they can share a photo of?) Do you have a floorplan we could see? Thanks! I will post it ASAP! Gable vent went up on the weekend! I was tossing up between circular or hexagonal for ages, but happy with the result. We have found someone to make us a mantle (photos to come). Wall paneling has begun! I was very skeptical about this, but hoping it will all come together once it has a rail & skirts. Not a huge fan of having cupboards on this side of the island bench but we really needed the storage, the kitchen is pretty small. More paneling has been done (it will be in the living areas and hallways). Maybe you could use the tiles as a feature mat in the middle of the floor and have plain tiles around the outside? That way you could reduce the cost and wouldn't have to cut into the pattern to lay them. I've seen this done on pinterest and it looks really effective. That way you could reduce the cost and wouldn't have to cut into the pattern to lay them. I've seen this done on pinterest and it looks really effective. Ill have to look into this - thankyou! The quote was $325 a square meter (just to supply!) so that is definitely out of my price range. Can anybody suggest some suppliers I can look at? I am after some type of patterned floor tile (preferably light colours). Our custom mantle piece has arrived! I can't wait to paint it - it will be gloss white to match the wall paneling. We have ordered a piece of granite for the hearth. The plastering is complete! We do have quite a few bulk heads (some intentional and some to hide unavoidable beams). Here's an (intentional) one in the Master, and a photo showing the cornice. So not only did we get a brilliant deal (according to S) on the system, we got a few extra hundred dollars back which we put toward our fridge.
