Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Tile meeting book 302May 19, 2015 7:50 pm Our Honeywood Build Oh yay! that garage floor looks great and so does the tiling! Looking like a real house now. So he said its unusual to do floor tiles up the side of the bath and hobs? I'm pretty sure that's how ours are :/ I'll check that. Well that's what he said, I really have no clue but I was expecting it to be the white wall tiles I am glad I changed it though as I do like the white. Although saying that I think the ensuite looks too white BUT then again I think its because I seen the ensuite with all dark tiles (BS12's build) and it looked amazing Oh and also discovered that the wardrobe doors are in too!! Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Tile meeting book 303May 19, 2015 7:53 pm I think it makes it look more open and bigger with the white wall tiles up bath hob. I just checked my documents and I did do wall tile on hobs - lucky! Yours is really flying along now! Our grey set was complete on Friday and the ceilings have been delivered but keep visiting every day any nothing new has happened since Friday probably just being impatient haha Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Tile meeting book 304May 19, 2015 8:34 pm Our Honeywood Build I think it makes it look more open and bigger with the white wall tiles up bath hob. Ours was due to end in May :/ I hope they remember to extended it. So much has happened for you in the last month, it's crazy! Have you chosen your main flooring and paint colors etc? Is CH doing all that for you? Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Tile meeting book 306May 20, 2015 3:08 pm We are planning to build our first home (limited budget), looking for a good builder with a good value for money. Do you recommend Commodore Homes? Any suggestions? Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 307May 20, 2015 7:53 pm Got a surprise today when we found our feature wall had been done and I LOVE it Only other thing done today was they have started putting up our side fence panels too - the back and neighbouring side had already been completed! Is CH doing all that for you? The flooring and blinds are being done by CH as we needed it for our mortgage (we went with keystart) We have all our paint bought though as our mate is a painter by trade so he got it all a lot cheaper for us We have gone with a light grey/blue colour - Taubmans Cascade Ice so I am hoping it looks ok once completed They really do seem to be pulling out all stops now to get the house completed - which is good but also about time too!! Do you recommend Commodore Homes? Any suggestions? Mmmmm now this is a tough one for me as if you look at my timeframe I have been building for longer than most I have had my issues with them (long delays, mistakes etc) but in saying that though since they have put the roof on they really seem to be pushing to get the build finished and I am happy with the quality of most things so far!! I also think for the quality of their standard inclusions they are very reasonably priced. I will give you my final verdict though once I have the keys in my hand Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 311May 20, 2015 8:03 pm gettinby Love the cladding Sinurt.. Thank you Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 312May 20, 2015 8:07 pm Wow wow wow!!!! It's looking so good!!! Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 313May 20, 2015 8:08 pm Seems like something has happened every single day since roof cover went on?? That's lucky! Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 314May 20, 2015 8:14 pm Now I'm getting jealous haha! Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 315May 20, 2015 8:14 pm Can you leave a note and tell them to come to mine next? haha Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 316May 20, 2015 9:01 pm Our Honeywood Build Can you leave a note and tell them to come to mine next? haha Our Honeywood Build Seems like something has happened every single day since roof cover went on?? That's lucky! will do, and no idea why they are speeding along with mine but I am not complaining. Something has been done pretty much every day since roof went on - my CA did tell me though that the SS had booked all the jobs quite tight to try and get it finished!! The two other Commodore homes down the road have fallen way behind, one has just had white set done (but not completed) and the other is still not at lock up (their slab went down a week before mine!!!) Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 317May 21, 2015 8:14 am I am a bit jealous of that feature wall it looks fantastic Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 318May 21, 2015 11:27 am Hi me786, I'm building with commodore homes as well and would NOT recommend them. They are ridiculously slow and don't call back when they promise they will. Getting information is like pulling teeth and our site supervisor called my husband and abused him just because got getting our own independent inspection done and then refuses to rectify any of the BCA non compliance issues. He's an absolute jerk. This is the 3rd site supervisor we've had and I'm sick of the excuses every week about delays. Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - Feature Wall :) 319May 21, 2015 11:30 am Some of the sales and administration people are nice to deal with but that's the only good thing I've got to say and when you're spending over $230k on a house you expect better communication and customer service. Getting mixed opinion on builders. Some builders got good reputation but a bit over priced. Not sure who to choose Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. Cheers 2 9927 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 20242 |
