I was just wondering how we can do that with the rain garden already there in the front. There's a tree planted as well right where we want the driveway to be. Re: White Gum Place North Kellyville 47May 09, 2015 4:36 pm I haven't yet finalised my building plans yet so will only know during our discussion with the builder. Was this advised by your builder? Also, did you get the bush fire inspection done? Just wanted to know what rating did you get? Re: White Gum Place North Kellyville 48May 09, 2015 5:19 pm For our lot our rain garden is at the front. We are off coorong rd. Also, there is the garden that is already there with the rocks and plants which is what i'm worried about cause it'll be in the way of where we want the driveway to be. I haven't gotten the bush fire report yet. Our builder said they will let us know what it is once they get the paper work after registration. They said if the council provided an updated report in the paperwork we don't need to get one ourselves. I'll keep you posted on what our rating ends up being. Re: White Gum Place North Kellyville 58May 19, 2015 1:57 pm Hey everone. Just an update. I spoke with the council today about the driveway position and we were told that we are not allowed to change it because of the rain garden in front. Those on the Coorong rd side that already have that driveway and rain garden there at the front keep that in mind for when you design the house you build. We have to tell our builder to mirror the design we currently have. Fingers crossed we aren't charged anymore fees to do so. Re: White Gum Place North Kellyville 59May 20, 2015 12:52 pm Thanks for the update. I will let my builder know about this. Also, when is the settlement happening for your lots. Mine was scheduled for 22nd but now has been cancelled. They have not advised yet of the new date but could be sometime next week. Re: White Gum Place North Kellyville 60May 20, 2015 1:12 pm So the council rang me back and told me it is actually possible to change the driveway position. However, because of the pipes underneath the rocks it will cost roughly 10k to do this... we have advised our builder to just mirror our design to align with the current driveway position. We are hoping they do not charge a fee for us changing our plan... Our solicitor advised us that they are booked in for settlement on the 27th.
