I simply loves it. If I have that view no need for curtains. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Waiting on Practical Completion 1586May 08, 2015 10:47 am gandn Hi Yvonne. Getting close now. Sheilzy. Do you have long or high retaining walls to do after? That's what can really bump the price of landscaping up. argh don't tell me that! We too have long and high retaining walls.... getting super close. Waiting on my SS to call and give me an update. I assume he's going to tell me about a PCI date. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for! Many variety of fruit trees are available as well as flowering plants. Last Saturday saw a beautiful magnolia little gem for $200 about 2m height, at nursery double the price. Please let me know if you find it cheaper else where. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Waiting on Practical Completion 1590May 08, 2015 11:33 am Good to see things are back on track for you Yvonne. I reckon the portaloo going is a sure sign you're almost there! Ours went yesterday and we've been told handover will be early next week when the builder has completed a couple of things the certifier wanted. Isn't that and a crystal the answer to all feng shui ills? Just for you I'll put up a pic when we are in Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Waiting on Practical Completion 1593May 08, 2015 3:52 pm Spoke to the SS, he'll give us a handover date (he skipped past the whole PCI?!) on Monday or Tuesday. He's complaining that our building inspector is hassling every day to get access to inspect... the SS wants to get all the paint touch ups etc done before the inspector goes through. That's fabulous! Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Waiting on handover date 1595May 08, 2015 7:00 pm Has anyone else heard or read about builds that go straight to handover? It seems odd we don't get to see it inside till then. The last time we saw it (officially) was when the kitchen cabinets and bathroom bits were in... I'm more curious than anything. But also glad we've appointed an inspector and been keeping an eye on the build on a regular basis. Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Waiting on handover date 1596May 08, 2015 7:18 pm I would be wanting a walk through prior to handover, to ensure you are also 100% happy with everything that has been done. SS must have gone over your house with a fine tooth comb and confident that it's ready. Good thing you have a building inspector checking to make sure everything is compliant. I can't believe 3-4 more sleeps till you have your beautiful new house! Yay Re: KDR with Sekisui House: Waiting on handover date 1599May 08, 2015 8:38 pm Sheilzy I wish! Until we have a date I can't organize anything But we know the carpet can be done quickly and know what we want. (I have to paint a wall first anyway!) The floors we are doing it ourselves. And we have them ready and waiting at the Harvey Norman store. We need to acclimatize them so need to get them the same day as handover... So this weekend I'll go and get my curtains and rails so we'll be ready...
