Honestly, if you can’t take your Building Coordinator’s word for anything, whose word are you supposed to take? It’s just not good enough. Jasdan, I understand completely. You have taken all the correct measures to ensure you receive exactly what you want and still the outcome is different. I think PD should add a picture and part# of the shower screen you will be getting in the 'Selections' document. That way it would reduce confusion and customer dissatisfaction. EDIT: We were told this was standard... Now I am worried! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks joea - yeah, that selections document is way too vague. Maybe ask them to put the name and part number in a PCV, as a 'clarification? In hindsight, I guess that's what we should have done, but we still had a good relationship with PD at that point and believed an email and a bit of good faith, on their part, would be enough. Agreed. That's what I plan to do, thank you for sharing this issue it will most likely save myself and others going through the same thing. I also think they should have a list on the wall of each room to list what is standard and what is an option. Otherwise it's all on the Sales Rep to know it by heart and not miss anything when you do the walk through. Re: Porter Davis homes 11231Apr 22, 2015 12:55 pm For everyone building with PD. Can you help me understand the build time frame? We were told originally 24 weeks which is just under 6 months. The contract states 168 days. Is that working days? If it is then it's not really 24 weeks! Re: Porter Davis homes 11232Apr 22, 2015 1:09 pm joea For everyone building with PD. Can you help me understand the build time frame? Our site start was exactly 2 months after yours, but with all the issues with our bricks, PCI is nowhere in sight for us. Brickwork issues: http://homesweetwaldorf.blogspot.com.au/2015/04/ongoing-issues-brickwork.html Crooked slab / Brick overhang: http://homesweetwaldorf.blogspot.com.au/2015/04/brickwork-overhanging-slab.html Apparently there's only 245 days until Christmas though - maybe we should keep our fingers crossed for a hand-over by then. Re: Porter Davis homes 11237Apr 22, 2015 2:57 pm Correction: PCI might be in sight, but handover definitely won't be!!
